This elegant townhouse serves Afternoon Tea in The Dining Room.  Enjoy a rich variety of menus from the traditional (which can be accompanied by Champagne) to dedicated menus for those wishing to dine from a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free menu. Each tea showcases an assortment of finger sandwiches, pastries, and fresh scones served with clotted cream and preserves. 

The Egerton House Hotel also has their Doggy Afternoon Tea whereby guests bring their beloved four-legged friend for the ultimate indulgence. With their own tea stand and bespoke treats, this Afternoon Tea certainly gets tails wagging. Treat your pet to a treat that is sure to get all tails wagging! Specially designed for your doggy and served in the Dining Room, this special Afternoon Tea includes a pooch-pleasing selection of treats. £30.00 per pooch. (Please be advised that a Doggy Afternoon Tea booking must be accompanied by at least one Adult Afternoon Tea reservation). Doggy Afternoon Tea is available on Thursdays and Sundays ONLY and a maximum of one dog per table.

Celebrating the traditional yet delectable flavours of classic British cakes, this Summer Afternoon Tea is a love letter to the British tearoom. A sweet and sticky Battenburg cake, a sumptuous coffee and walnut cake, or a luxurious Lanson trifle are just a few of the indulgences on offer. Nestle down in the cosy Drawing Room and enjoy this truly splendid affair.

The Best of British Afternoon Tea can also be tailored to meet Vegan, Vegetarian, or Gluten-free dietary requirements. Please allow 24 hours' notice for any allergies or dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, The Egerton House Hotel cannot cater to dietaries who require both gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Children’s Garden Tea Party

Exclusive Experience: Doggy Afternoon Tea Paw-trait Experience with Shelley Levy

ShelleyTheArtist offers bespoke personal and dog portraits during the Egerton House Hotel Afternoon Tea sessions. As an artist with a passion for capturing stories, her drawings come to life, creating a one-of-a-kind portrait reflecting each pup's individual style and character.

This package includes:

• Three-hour Afternoon Tea session including the portrait sitting with Afternoon Tea for two people and Doggy Afternoon Tea for one pooch
• Bespoke A4 dog portrait in watercolour
• Picture mount and envelope to take portrait home

Just a short stroll from the V&A, The Egerton Bar is the ideal destination during a day of culture. But while they have their own Picasso and Renoir lithographs at the hotel, the work of art the team are most proud of is their signature cocktail: The Martini.

The Egerton House Hotel Martini Masterclass

The Egerton House Hotel Martini Masterclass, led by the talented bar team, is the perfect dose of informative and enjoyable (not to mention delicious).

Commencing with an introduction to this beloved cocktail, our Bar Manager, Sahbi, will begin by explaining the history and origins of the martini. You will learn a little bit about his own background and discover his top tips to make the perfect martini yourself. There will then be the opportunity to taste the magnificent martini creations, curated using homemade syrups, and enjoy a selection of delicate, seasonal canapés created by the talented Head Chef, David.

Although there is no formal restaurant at The Egerton, guests are welcome to dine in-room or in the Bar and lounge area, and can choose from a wide selection of options on the menu, from warming classics such as Bea's Chicken Noodle Soup - influenced by Beatrice Tollman, President and Founder of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection - to something more substantial such as the Chef's delicious Egerton burger.  A dedicated plant-based menu is available as well as a children's menu. 

Private Dining
Looking for somewhere to host a private dining occasion? Within the Dining Room, Teh Egerton House Hotel can cater for drinks/canapé receptions and dinner for up to 10 guests around a table.

The team welcomes group enquiries about its private dining room. Whether you are looking to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, engagement, baby shower, hen party, business meeting or wedding reception please do get in touch. The Egerton House Hotel would also be delighted to host photoshoots, book launches and presentations.

A hire fee of £200 is payable + £100 for each subsequent hour.
