In a pretty bizarre yet brilliant move, DJ Yoda takes a break from the decks to bring you a new Southern-inspired barbecue joint in the heart of Kensal Rise. 

DJ Yoda has always loved food. With tracks such as 'Pizza' and his latest album called 'Breakfast for Champions', it's clear this passion has infiltrated its way into his music. Spread over two floors, Austen Smokehouse brings the heat of South straight to your table. The venue is very proud of its classic pit barbecue in which they cook a variety of different meats in American smokers over oak, pecan and hickory wood to recreate that authentic Southern taste.

All the meat at Austen's Smokehouse is prepared Texas Style (only using dry rub) and is served either in delicious sliders, with bread or just by itself. With a compelling barbecue menu ranging from USDA brisket to St. Louis cut pork ribs, a Joker-esque barbecue smile seems unavoidable. 

If that wasn't enough, Austen's also offers a delicious Louisianan brunch menu. Complete with Pork Boudin Benedict and Buttermilk Pancakes, the flavour combinations of these dishes definitely try to epitomise the rich, exuberant lifestyle of New Orleans.
