With an ethos spelling 'Free Range & Fried', what's not to love?

With their first joint taking up a space on Kingsland Road, Bird has spread its wings to nest North with a brand new eatery on Holloway Road in Islington. Fronting fried food of the chicken variety, the kitchen at this coop is one of Buttermilk recipes, homemade glazes and punchy dipping sauces. Whether you want to fill your boots with a burger, gnaw some meat off the bone or tempt your tastebuds with the gluttonous Fried Chicken & Waffle monstrosity, Bird is a wonderland of all poultry that's certified fresh, fit for frying and rubbed in signature spice blends. 

Taking culinary inspiration from the legendary foodie scenes of Chicago, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and even as far as Asia, Bird has taken the best of the best when it comes to frying methods and cultivated an original approach for their London infamy. 

It doesn't end with the pieces of poultry though, Bird also boasts quite the cocktail and craft beer menu so you can quench your thirst with hops from Sweden, Mexico, Korea and good old London brews or knock back some punching concoctions. With playful touches on classics and a few of their own creations thrown in there too, try out their Dirtybird (£8.50) cocktail for a mix of Vodka, honey, ginger & fruit juice, which also comes served with a shot of sparkling wine. That'll do nicely.
