James Cochran, of Michelin-starred The Ledbury and his eponymous restaurant in EC3, is opening a brand new restaurant on Upper Street. Cochran is no stranger to this territory; he once opened a restaurant on the same Islington street. 12:51 reflects a contemporary; from the experimental menu, to the minimal studio-like interior, alongside changing artwork from local artists and a curated playlist of classic funk, soul and hip hop tunes.

Focusing on produce sourced from Kent, the menu at 12:51 leans towards modern British sharing plates with injections of multi-faceted flavours. Signature dishes including the goat sharing board with black eyed pea dahl, roti, scotch bonnet jam and pineapple. If a la carte isn't quite enough, you can opt for the tasting menu. Whether it's lunch, dinner or late night snacking, you can wash it all down with organic wines and Cochran's take on classic cocktails, like the 12:51 Negroni and Bloody Mary Martini.
