LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM..

** TERRI WALKER **

Born in England to Jamaican parents and raised in Germany from age 4 to early teens, Terri Walker has many cultural origins that allowed her to experience the world in a different way experiences which she had no difficulty in translating into her music and win a wide audience that has been extremely supportive over more than 2 decades since she introduced herself to the world as an artist.
With musical roots spread over the world, it's been a journey in itself to witness Terri Walker's growth in the global music scene.

Four albums (Untitled, L.O.V.E, I Am, Entitled), a long-standing collaboration with UKs iconic producer Joe Buhdha (Untitled to Entitled and The BreakOut EPs), stateside fruitful musical friendships and partnerships with Salaam Remi (Champagne Flutes), Ski Beatz and Damon Dash (Roc Nation), a powerful duo alongside Nicole Wray, the critically acclaimed Lady project, on Truth & Soul and this is just a brief overview of Terri Walker's fingerprint on the music scene.

Add to that (ongoing) collaborations and stage sharing with fellow legendary artists such as Omar, Goldie, Lonnie Liston Smith, and continuous work with equally brilliant musical minds like Mancunian duo Children Of Zeus, The Floacist, DRS, Moses Boyd, Swindle...

All these projects have at least couple of common denominators: Terri's love of unapologetic artistic expression and applauded work ethics.

Her latest offering, BreakOut, a 5-track EP, produced by Joe Buhdha was received wholeheartedly by both Terri's fans and critics, and has been played and praised by people like Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6Music), DJ Ace (BBC 1XTRA), Trevor Nelson (BBC Radio 2), Don Lets (BBC Radio 6Music), Mista Jam (BBC 1XTRA), Dom Servini (Soho Radio) to name just a few.

2019 also found Terri sitting behind the decks and hosting her own radio show on Soho Radio, the monthly Melting Pot, where she shines a light on individual people that have inspired her throughout her journey, as well as championing new, up-and-coming artists, but also reminding the listeners about all the classics out there.
There's no sign of her stopping or even slowing down anytime soon, so the best thing would be to join Terri Walker on her explorative journey of artistry.

** KELE LE ROC **

Emerging from the same '90s British R&B scene that produced Beverley KnightShola Ama, and Hinda Hicks, soul singer Kele Le Roc briefly achieved solo success before becoming an in-demand guest vocalist for various dance acts. Born Kelly Biggs to jam in East London in 1977, she signed to Polydor Records following an industry buzz surrounding her underground track "Let Me Know."

After supporting Total and Horace Brown, her first single, "A Little Bit of Lovin," and follow-up, "My Love," both reached number eight in the U.K. charts. Kele is a 2 x MOBO Award winner (Best Newcomer and Best Single).  In the early noughties, she appeared on Basement Jaxx's Top Ten hit "Romeo," and provided guest vocals on singles by Shy FX and Curtis Lynch, Jr. In 2010, she released a mixtape entitled Been There Done That and recorded a duet with L.A. hip-hop artist Tha Vill.

In recent years, Kele has been back in the studio, working with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez & Gorgon City to name a few..

It was a brilliant night out; Kindred is such a beautiful, intimate space for a comedy show. The staff are warm, the artists were brilliant and the DJ was great. I loved how as host, Travis engaged with the audience in such a friendly way - there is always a worry being sat that close to the stage when comedians are on, but he was funny and engaging with the right amount of banter, keeping us all bubbling for the featured acts, without stealing the show - a great balance. KG stole the show for me - naturally hilarious and confident, with real, relatable stories! Loved Michael’s set too. I came alone and felt right at home. Congrats to everyone who made it happen, it was a fantastic night out! I’ll be back (if I’m in the country). Bless!
