Description

The wonderfully cute offspring of Lardo's larger venue, Lardo Bebe offers the same prime quality Italian fare on a smaller scale. Focusing on pizza and pasta as the stars of the show, Lardo Bebe is compiling a precise menu of people pleasing Italian fare. If you're not in the mood for a sit down meal, they're also offering a take-away service so you can luxuriate in comfortable sofa feasting or a convenient supper option. If the Lardo in full swing on Richmond Road Hackney is any reflection, Lardo Bebe will be a flawlessly curated sample of authentic Italian flavours.

I went with such great expectations being previously to Lonzo and lardo but this time I was disappointed. My meat balls never arrived and despite me asking for them again, they just simply never made it to the table. My side order was also forgotten and arrived late when I chased for it. visited Lardo Bebe on 06 Nov 2016

Absolutely loved brunch at Bebe! We shared the brunch pizza and the eggs with polenta and thought so highly of both. Perfect coffee, sweet and attentive service. Get your skates on!! Highly recommend! visited Lardo Bebe on 30 Oct 2016

Had a great brunch. Our waitress was really lovely, and the space was great. The food was fantastic, with a great selection on the menu. Only thing I'd say is that the egg purgatorio could do with another egg (it was too delicious to not have more!). visited Lardo Bebe on 30 Oct 2016

Food was excellent, but I did feel the staff could have been a tiny bit more attentive and slightly friendlier. visited Lardo Bebe on 30 Oct 2016

We were a group of 4 and the eggs & polenta was by far the most popular dish. The brunch pizza was also really delicious! Some dishes had sold out unfortunately, however we were having 'brunch' rather late. I can imagine bebè would be a great place in the evening and as a private hire. Great sized garden out the back as well. visited Lardo Bebe on 30 Oct 2016

Enjoyed the new brunch menu - makes a refreshing change! The ricotta pancakes are a winner, the coffee's strong & the homemade chinolotto was tasty. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. lunamodule visited Lardo Bebe on 29 Oct 2016

great brunch, onglet and eggs is a perfect hangover cure as well as the baked polenta and eggs. Fresh orange and grapefruit to reinstate those missing vitamin Cs and a coffee to get you back on the road. great service and location visited Lardo Bebe on 29 Oct 2016

I will start by saying the staff were perfectly nice and pleasant to deal with. However, having arrived to an almost empty restaurant, our order never was put through and therefore we didn't get our brunch until c. 1 hour after we sat down. We did get a slice of the torte which was very nice- presumably as compensation for the wait, no explanation or apology was offered. As to the food itself, the coffee was middling, the juice was fresh but squeezed in advance and a little sharp. The pancakes were plentiful and quite good although 1 of them was a little under-done. The steak and eggs was an abomination- sweet chilli syrup of some kind was drizzled over the top and it really was unpleasantly sweet. Sugar + steak or even sugar syrup + fried eggs is not natural. Which is a pity as the egg and steak were nicely cooked as best I could tell. Also a slice of toast or something might be useful to balance the dish. I can see how this might be a nice brunch venue with some tweaking of the menu and more attention to detail. I have had lovely dinners here and at Lardo HQ so I believe it will improve. If this had not been complimentary, I would have been quite annoyed to have paid for the meal. visited Lardo Bebe on 29 Oct 2016

I was with my friends having dinner and the food wasn't bad and the service was very nice to us. It's not my first time eating at Lardo Bebe, as I like the romantic atmosphere of the place and the people is very kind! However, this time was very disappointing. Big part of the menu offered online It wasn't available for dinner and also the wine menu didn't include all prices, so we got a super-expensive and OVERPRICED wine by mistake, as the menu was very confusing and it didn't show the price at all!! Also, no one made us aware of the high price of this wine (I would expect this if the product is expensive and the price is not shown). At the end, we paid a fortune for a pizza dinner... and we were very disappointed. nadiasalamo visited Lardo Bebe on 08 Oct 2016

I had my 30th birthday in the gorgeous backyard. Roy and the rest of the team were excellent hosts, putting on a BBQ set menu for my 20+ guests. We all had such a wonderful time, food was delicious and plentiful. Thank you so much for looking after us all. I highly recommend this place.

Food was plentiful and unbelievably tasty and we were allowed free reign of the back garden for our little party. Our hosts, Roy and co. were amazing too. Thanks for having us and making the day perfect. Charlotte visited Lardo Bebe on 23 Jul 2016

Delicious pizza, amazing friendly service in tasteful surroundings! Organised a dinner for a friend on Saturday night in their private dining room and had super food and drinks and wonderful service. The private room was perfect for a large group and felt really cosy and intimate. Look forward to going again! alicehackney visited Lardo Bebe on 11 Jun 2016

Hi there, very surprised to read the review below. We love Lardo bebe, it's super chilled, nice simple pizzas with mega taste. Booked a table for 10 over the week-end and it was Mega. Recommend it fully and will be going back. Nice one .

We live very close and we thought, Oh good!! we live so close to a hand-made pizza place. We went there, check the prices... 13£ for a pizza, we thought if is good its ok. We arrived home and our surprise was that the pizza were awful, no toppings at all....a totally waste of money. My boyfriend came back to ask for our money back and the girl who was working there she didn't want to do it. Fair enough because I am never going to come back and make sure none of my friends... I think for respect, she should have gave us the money back and maybe one day we will come back. Not anymore. You can see on the pictures.... TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE PIZZA, STOP OVERCHARGING PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU ARE IN DALSTON. NON ACEPTABLE
