EDIT is a sustainable restaurant in the heart of Hackney, East London, seeking to restore a sense of connection with nature through hyper-seasonal, low impact, plant-based dining experiences.

The interiors are architect-designed to reflect the ethos of the restaurant. Original brick walls are left exposed, while vintage furniture, hand-crafted, natural-wood lighting and rescued terracotta tiles creating a warm and inviting environment with a cool, modern aesthetic.

Within the restaurant, there are three different spaces available for exclusive hire, ranging from a small and intimate private dining room to a large events space. 

The tasting menus are inspired by a modern British style of gastronomy, showcasing the finest local and sustainable produce in response to seasonal availability, and using ‘root to fruit’ zero waste preparations and principles. Dishes are paired with a fine selection of low-intervention and local wines, beers, ciders and cocktails by the in-house sommelier.

For more intimate dining events, we recommend ‘The Green Room’ our private dining space which is situated adjacent to the main restaurant.  


The architect-designed interior reflects our ethos, showcasing sustainable materials and concepts of circular design.


The chairs are reclaimed vintage pieces and the table is cut from a material hand fabricated using wood waste offcuts.  Overhead is our ‘chandelier’ hand crafted from a hazel tree branch using slow and ancient, sustainable methods with cherry wood shades.


Main Restaurant Venue Hire 34 60 - - -

Hire our entire restaurant for seated dining events or for standing canapés and cocktails. The seating layout can be configured for one long table up to 34 guests or left open plan.

Our chairs are all collections of vintage pieces and we can dress the space to match with linen and flower arrangements to your specifications.

The Studio Venue Hire 64 120 - - -

For larger events we offer exclusive hire of our neighbouring space which is situated inside an architecture studio.

The space can be left open plan for your own design or configured for banquet style seated dining, dressed with linen and flower arrangements to your choosing.

Fully accessible with digital resources including projector, sound system, speakers and microphones.
