Since 2012, LIMA has been at the forefront of introducing London to the vibrant flavours of Peru, earning acclaim for its authenticity, creativity, and refined approach to Peruvian gastronomy. Founded by brothers Gabriel and José Luís Gonzalez, LIMA quickly became a leader in Latin American dining, winning many industry accolades.

Now, the restaurant begins a radically new chapter with the arrival of Peruvian-born Diego Recarte as Head Chef. With experience at some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, Diego brings a fresh perspective rooted in his heritage and enriched by global influences.

Diego was born in Peru and went on to work at some of the world’s most respected kitchens, including Astrid y Gastón in Lima, D.O.M. in São Paulo, Enigma and Pakta in Barcelona, and Le Calandre in Padova, as well as projects in Milan, Palermo, Singapore, Doha, and Bali. Over the past 15 years, these experiences have shaped an innovative perspective while keeping Peru at the core of his cooking.

Now as Head Chef of LIMA Fitzrovia, Recarte is bringing a new chapter to the restaurant’s Michelin-starred legacy. His cuisine showcases the biodiversity of his birthplace while reflecting London’s wide-ranging food scene, with bold and contemporary dishes that are rooted in Peruvian tradition.

Just a short walk from Goodge Street, Warren Street and Tottenham Court Road tube stations, LIMA offers both convenience and charm in the heart of Fitzrovia. Open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, the restaurant is an ideal setting for everything from intimate meals to semi-private dining and bespoke events.
