Louie Louie

Description

Louie Louie is a cafe-restaurant-bar in Walworth, serving freshly made breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes to South London's hungry crowds. Created by head chef Oded Oren, the menu is composed of meat, fish and vegetable dishes, all cooked over a coal fire and influenced heavily by the chef's upbringing in Tel Aviv.

The venue's based on Walworth Road, just a short stroll from Elephant and Castle station. Things have purposely been kept pretty bare to give the venue a refreshing feeling. The plain white walls are brought to life by a number of vibrant pictures and paintings, while the simple furniture helps to create a rustic vibe that runs throughout.

The food and drink menus are the headliners here. Every dish is made using fresh ingredients and boast a range of exotic flavour combinations. The many meat and fish based dishes are all cooked over hot coals; a technique that Chef Oren honed while working in some of Tel Aviv's biggest restaurants. Be sure to check out the Hake and Sea Bass kebab, served with romano peppers and soft herbs. Balancing everything nicely, the drinks menu is composed of both classic cocktails, fine wine and ice cold beer.
