Popular Peckham pop-up and Climpson Arch fixture, Som Saa, will be setting roots in Spitalfields on the 11th of April. The culinary lovechild of Andy Oliver, Mark Dobbie, and Tom George, the already-quite-reputable Thai eatery will feature a menu heavy on fresh, seasonal British produce prepared with quintessential Asian ingredients and flavour.
Unlike its two siblings that focus on Thailand's North and Northeast, Som Saa will offer a more comprehensive, regional tour of the country's cuisines. Some succulent and surprising specialities will include a slew of in-house delicacies such as a selection of curry pastes, coconut cream, and fermented pork sausages.
While the restaurant will initially open its doors for dinner, brunch and lunch services will become part of Som Saa's package deal six weeks later. During the not-too-painful wait, though, diners can simply indulge in a few of familiar cocktail favourites spiffed up with a little Thai infusion.
