In 2011 after a couple of pints, the team behind Pizza Pilgrims
quit their day jobs and found a three-wheeler called Concetta to
take them around Italy on the ultimate Pizza Pilgrimage. Their
mission was clear: they needed to bring proper Neapolitan pizza to
London. Since then, they've opened a string of pizzerias, each with
its own personality.
This pizzeria is their largest joint to date - Pizza Pilgrims in
Canary Wharf, with its sunny riverside terrace overlooking the
skyline and a games room called the Pizza Playground. The beautiful
weather-safe terrace can be hired out and accommodates up to 150
guests; it is equipped with an outdoor bar and foosball tables and
is covered and heated.
The Pizza Playground does exactly what it says on the tin:
arcade machines such as Pac-Man, Pinball, Donkey Kong, Nintendo
Switch with Mario Kart, PS1&2 for all the FIFA fans, SNES with
over 100 mini-games, old-school board games, and their 16-player
foosball table. This area is perfect for corporate parties,
birthdays, kids' parties, hen and stag do’s, and if you're looking
for something a little different, this venue definitely has you
covered, hosting up to 100 guests. Pop in for a drink, pop in for a
pizza, pop in for some big kid fun. Anything goes in the
Playground.
