Following the closure of Robin Gill's former restaurant, The Manor, Sorella opened on the same site just off Clapham High Street, with Gill transforming the menu from modern British to Italian. As with The Manor and its sister sites, Sorella has a produce-led menu, with a focus on the best seasonal ingredients. Dedicated to sustainable cooking, Sorella works with sustainable farming and food waste management start-up, Indie Ecology. 

Inspiration for Sorella comes from Gill's time spent working on the Amalfi coast, and opening an Italian-focused eatery had long been a goal of his. The menu features a delightful range of traditional dishes such as truffle arancini, venison pappardelle and affogato. Drinks have a focus on homemade liqueurs, seasonal bellinis and include a bergamot Garibaldi and a cherry-smoked Negroni.
