Description

The Pig's Ear is a popular drinking & dining institution in Chelsea with a traditional yet timeless feel. Delicious British/French brasserie food is served in the bar daily or you may reserve in the adjoining Blue Room which boasts an open fire during the winter. The oak paneled Dining Room on the first floor is open during the busier evenings & weekend lunches for an elegant & attentive fine dining experience, reservations are essential.

The menu is changed daily with the emphasis on keenly sourced seasonal produce from quality suppliers. Traditional British cask ales from the nearby Sambrooks Brewery are offered as well as the exclusive signature Pig's Ear pale ale brewed locally by The London Beer Factory. Orchard Pig cider & a selection of Czech, Belgian and German lagers are also available by the bottle & on tap. The wine list is eclectic with a predominantly French influence & a varied selection is available by the glass.

The Pig's Ear Chelsea - London Pub Reviews

Now I’ll be the first to admit that people in East London can be a bit insular. North London? Too expensive. Central London? Too many tourists. South London? There are literally no trains. And West London might as well be on the other side of...

We had a fabulous night at the Pigs Ear for our team's Xmas do. The service from Elia and his team were brilliant, the food was great, and it was a perfect venue for our team. We will definately be back. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-14

Christmas Day lunch. Christmas Day menu options/ prices on website were misleading- implied 3 available menus (£35-£65), actually £65 only available. Atmosphere good and jolly, we were a table of five and were given our own corner in the pub part. Weren’t really aware of other customers. Drink- given a glass of prosecco each on arrival. Food - good portions but turkey wasn’t carved in slices, was served more Like turkey steaks and were quite dry and tough. Extra gravy provided. Pudding - Christmas pudding available but served with brandy custard not the traditional Brandy butter.... which was not well recieved by the more traditional members of the party! I had mine with ice cream which was delicious. Staff - very friendly and keen to make our Christmas Day as enjoyable as possible. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-25

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Shame about the food. Our roast dinners arrived lukewarm, the sprouts were undercooked and inedible. Our bill was reduced without any fuss which was good of the waiter. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-10

This erstwhile excellent pub needs a new chef urgently. The food was terrible. A laughable wine selection was totally overpriced. And it wouldn’t hurt ifor the staff to smile once in a while. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-05

They shit half of our orders. We had to remind the waiters several times. Wrong orders were delivered. Wine and desert did not get delivered at all even though we asked for our order several times. Worst experience. Definitely won’t recommend it or come back Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-03

We had to wait 20 mins past our booking time to be given our table, the roast for the price was very small with only a few vegetables and they had run out of mint sauce for the lamb. The service was good and we were given a free glass of wine due to the wait Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-12-03

If you come on your own for Sunday lunch expect to be seated like a billy no mates on first floor where there is very little atmosphere. When they come to serve you they ask JUST for one? Otherwise, people upstairs serving are nice but you're really not in The Pig's Ear but the floor above. The potatoes were cold and not crispy, roast beef was OK. Wouldn't come back unless I was offered a table on the ground floor. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-11-26

Would have left no stars if possible. We booked a table for dinner at 7:30 but were informed on arrival there was only fish and chips left on the menu. We left for somewhere that could offer proper service. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-11-19

Nice neighbourhood pub. A bit chaotic when we got there at 12. Roast beef was lovely with great vege and Yorkshire pudding. Sticky date pud was tasty but dry not sticky. No alcohol free wine and only one af beer. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-11-05

Very disappointing. Had to get own menu, cutlery, napkin - all because of poor slow service Food cold - sent back Very overpriced Couldn't then believe we had to pay service charge. Not good and so disappointing. Next table to us agreed too. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-10-22

Wonderful food and welcoming service, but noisy. We were put next to three 20 something girls and when we obviiously had to yell our order, we were moved further away.. Our favorite local spot as we live just up the street. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-10-11

Pig's Ear used to have a very nice dinner served upstairs in a dining room. Only thing available now is tables in the pub, or in my case seated on backless bench by fireplace. Really a big disappointment, not a quality dining experience on offer, we walked out. Much better options available in the neighborhood. Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-07-04

pretty poor, the roast wasn't good quality considering the price. There was also a big unexpected service charge. I mean its a bar! if i had known we could have easily walked to the bar which was 2 feet away. Won't be returning Visited The Pig's Ear Chelsea on 2017-05-21
