ENDO

Description

Chef Endo Kazutoshi is set to bring a new omakase experience to Chelsea with the opening of ENDO, an exclusive 10-seat restaurant housed inside the former Five Fields townhouse. Designed around the traditions of Japanese sushi counters, the intimate restaurant will offer a multi-course menu that changes regularly, with guests placing their trust entirely in the chef's hands. Locally sourced fish will be paired with specialist ingredients imported from Japan, creating a dining experience that blends British produce with authentic Japanese craftsmanship.

The restaurant's interiors are just as considered as its menu. Inspired by Tokyo's sushi counters of the 1920s and 1930s, ENDO will centre around a bespoke 200-year-old hinoki wood counter sourced from Kyoto. The space has been designed to create a close connection between diners and the chefs, allowing guests to experience every stage of the omakase journey firsthand.

Above the restaurant, guests will find Moga, a Japanese listening bar that adds a fresh dimension to the opening. Featuring tea-inspired cocktails and a design that incorporates an undulating ceiling made from masu sake cups, the venue will initially be reserved for restaurant diners before opening to standalone bookings later in the year.

The opening will also serve as Endo Kazutoshi's main base while the acclaimed Endo at The Rotunda remains closed.
