We are pleased to welcome the must loved voice of Football commentary over the years Motty, to Steam
Beginning as a television commentator with the BBCin 1971, he has commentated on over 2000 games on television and radio. From the late 1970s to 2008, Motson was the dominant football commentary figure at the BBC.
Motson regards the Hereford V Newcastle match as his big break through:
Oh what a goal! Radford the scorer. Ronnie Radford! And the crowd are on the pitch. What a tremendous shot by Ronnie Radford.
The Dinner will include an interview with Motty conducted by our MC and a Question and Answer session. You will have a chance for an autograph and a picture. We will be raising money for our chosen charity and will also hold a raffle as well as a running and main auction. To enter the raffle is £20.00 per person.
