Pizza Pilgrims and Chef Sally Abé (The Pem) have come together to host an intimate charity supper club at Pizza Pilgrims Selfridges in support of Action Against Hunger. The supper club takes place ahead of Sally Abé (Great British Menu finalist) and James Elliot’s (co-founder of Pizza Pilgrims) climb of Machu Picchu this Autumn.
The evening will start with cocktails and a course of English Caviar alongside a British charcuterie board from Cobble Lane, followed by the Machu Pizzu - ‘Garlic roasted Scottish Girolle mushrooms, whipped ricotta, mozzarella & topped with a smoky Salsa Verde.’ Diners will then enjoy a dessert of Ice cream Union Neapolitan Slice Log – ‘blackcurrant, honeycomb & milk chocolate.’
Drinks served will be Negroni's, English Sparkling wine from Bolney in Sussex and Gipsy Hill Beer.
Sally Abé is chef of The Pem restaurant in Westminster, and previously gained culinary acclaim as head chef for four years at the Michelin Star Harwood Arms. Sally was also named SquareMeal’s Female Chef of the Year in 2021. The Pem name was inspired by Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison, nicknamed ‘Pem’ by her family, with the intention of celebrating great women past and present, with the menu reflecting her love for British, seasonal ingredients with a focus on game meats.
Proceeds from the ticket sale will go directly towards Action Against Hunger’s crucial work across the world. Guests will be personally hosted by Sally and James for the evening and can expect a specially curated three course dinner, drawing inspiration from the menus of both Pizza Pilgrims and destination Westminster restaurant, The Pem.
Each ticket gets a 3 course menu, negroni and 3 glasses of sparkling wine or beer per person.
