Often find yourself longing for those glory days when Grange Hill was all over the TV guide, when Freddo’s were a cool 10p and when it was perfectly acceptable to wear trainers that flashed on every stride?
The Schoolhouse is this perfect throwback to your school days and so much more. It’s a nostalgic playground for adults; a themed bar and restaurant with all kinds of retro memorabilia to take you back in time. The venue serves food all day - mostly served on classic school trays - and you can tuck into everything from the Headmaster’s Breakfast to the Schoolhouse Beef Rib, with a monthly boozy brunch event and a tuck shop of lighter snacks.
The booze game? Well that’s strong too. The Schoolhouse has a confiscated selection of over 60 craft beers, a naughty wine list and a science lab of weird and wonderful cocktails served in all kinds of quirky vessels.

The food was good but we were here for a bottomless brunch and the first few bottles were extremely fizzy. Then all of a sudden they got suspiciously flat *comment moderated*. We asked for all future bottles to be opened at the table and they suddenly were fizzy again. Staff were nice and food was fine but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and wouldn't go back.visited The Schoolhouse on 12 Nov 2016
