With delicious, quintessentially British food, a bar fully-stocked with all kinds of tipples and 17 boutique styled hotel rooms on call if you fancy an overnight stay, The Dog & Fox is a charming pub at the centre of Wimbledon Village.

If you're stopping by for dinner and drinks, the kitchen team champion some of the very best in local quality ingredients in all their plates. Aberdeen Angus steaks, handmade burgers and free range wild game make this a carnivore’s paradise, with a lovely selection of farmhouse cheeses if you’re after something lighter.

The Dog & Fox also showcases the finest spirits and an extensive list of wines to keep things looking rosy on the drinks front. It’s a part of the Young’s group, so you can of course expect a top class range of cask ales, as well as a handful of invigorating virgin options for the designated drivers.

Opening daily from 8am and with live entertainment like their popular jazz and oysters nights on Wednesdays, there’s 17 stylish hotel rooms if you fancy lingering into the night.

Very good experience. The staff were very attentive and efficient and the food was nice. There's a good atmosphere too and was just right for our casual birthday celebration. visited The Dog and Fox on 25 Oct 2016

Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere and bar area. Menu is classic British Pub with nothing really surprising or challenging but good safe options (Cod, Pie, steaks, burgers etc..) which is no bad thing and is done well. I'd recommend a visit. visited The Dog and Fox on 21 Oct 2016

Excellent service, food lovely (though not too sure about the mash, tasted a bit powdery!) a bit overpriced. visited The Dog and Fox on 20 Oct 2016

The service was very poor. There appeared to be lots of members of staff, but our waitress was the only one who seemed busy. The food was alright, but not especially good. One of our party was almost immediately unwell. visited The Dog and Fox on 20 Oct 2016

The food was very good; however the service was somewhat poor. Waitress forgot about our drink, which eventually arrived alongside our main courses. visited The Dog and Fox on 15 Oct 2016

We were squeezed into at a table with draughts from the door - were were moved and were informed by a different waitress our new table was booked. We sat tight. After 70 - yes 70 minutes (during which we got up and bought a drink at the bar) a waitress asked if we were still waiting for our food. 60 seconds later it arrived - tepid. Also, why did you run out of pork by 2.30pm? A not to be repeated eating experience. biddybest visited The Dog and Fox on 02 Oct 2016

Although a bit fussy about booking times online, it was a splendid venue, excellent service, great food and even more pleasing was the welcome the dog received. The waitress even brought her a little bowl of biscuits. Genuinely friendly atmosphere. jamesgleahy visited The Dog and Fox on 04 Sep 2016

Really good food, just a bit noisy. But it's a also a pub so can't complain too much! ;-) My mum is usually a fussy eater but she said the salmon was done to perfection. That says it all I think! Rebecca visited The Dog and Fox on 06 Aug 2016

While the staff were friendly enough, the service wasn't as great. We were left milling around for a while, despite booking, and requests for extra gravy and sides were forgotten/not understood. The food, however, was delicious. Three potatoes instead of two on my roast and I'd've been very happy indeed.

As usual the Staffs inexperience and the lack of experienced leadership leaves you looking at a decent meal with an expensive price tag and wondering what could have been. Dog and Fox economics are charge a fortune and cut the overheads with shoddy service simples!! carlboorer visited The Dog and Fox on 13 Jul 2016

lovely place to eat but the service wasn't good.. I think they forgot about our main course but fluffed it a bit instead of apologising. food was good, portion sizes were good, and it is a lovely place but if you could get the service a bit shaper then I think you would be on a winner !! Although enjoyed the meal. Wait for main course with a 3 year old at 1730 was over 30 minutes. Also serving a child's shepherds pie in a steel bowl is not ideal for a 3 year old as too hot to eat. Rest of meal was amazing.

Okay. Suppose the bar is better than the restaurant. the service is poor. We booked a table for four. Turned up and they notified us one of the mains was out of stock. We said no problem. We them ordered 2 starter platters. One camembert and one chorizo. The camembert was out also. We then asked just for the chorizo sharing platter. when the platter came we asked for more bread as we were sharing between 4 as they did not have the correct stock. We then found out for 4 pieces of bread they billed us £3. Personally I didn't want to pay it. We asked for the bill and they gave us the bill. But then didn't return. after waiting 20 minutes I asked them to bring a card machine to the table to take payment. Don't think I'll be going back with the ivy next door. naz1 visited The Dog and Fox on 27 May 2016

Lovely food and great service!! Seems ridiculous to have to write 30 words, Design My Night!! Must put a lot of people off leaving a review. Umm the weather was good too!?! Ella visited The Dog and Fox on 27 May 2016

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast in lovely surroundings, but sadly down by painfully slow service from waiting staff -this included 5 requests to try & pay the bill. Strange as specified 2 hour sitting on booking ! Lucy visited The Dog and Fox on 22 May 2016

Have been here before and been happy, but this time service DREADFUL. SO slow. Was told it was because they had a large party - not our problem - don't take the booking. Assistant manager rude when we asked to see him - told my friend not to be aggressive when she was complaining. We did end up getting money off the bill. ka1912ren visited The Dog and Fox on 06 May 2016
