HOT VOX Presents: Queenie // Last July // Steelers // HALFCUT // The Afterword

Hidden above the bustle of Wardour Street, the Flamingo Room at O’Neill’s sits on truly legendary ground. Once home to the world-famous Flamingo Club and the iconic WAG Club, this building has seen everyone from The Rolling Stones, Cream, and Jimi Hendrix to David Bowie and Stevie Wonder pass through its doors.

Now HOT VOX continues that legacy, bringing the very best emerging artists to this historic Soho spot. Expect a night of fresh new music in a room steeped in history, where you can discover tomorrow’s future stars on the very same site that helped shape London’s music scene.

Queenie

Queenie is a 19 year old singer/songwriter based in Surrey/East London. Raised in Epsom, Queenie grew up with a music obsessed family and a household filled with artists like Lauryn Hill, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson. She writes emotional and relatable pop/soul. Whilst having her own writing and singing style Queenie is inspired by Artists like Olivia Dean, Sienna Spiro and Lizzy Mcalpine. Her new single “I Don’t Mind” has been described as catchy and relatable. Queenie has big plans for the future and can’t wait for you all to see. Keep an eye out!

Last July

Formed in London, Last July is a rock ‘n’ roll band known for heavy riffs, catchy melodies, and high-energy live performances. The band features frontman Johnathan Stipesevic, lead guitarist Max Connolly, bassist Kyle Matthews, and drummer Andrew Greenleaves.

Last July have truly honed their craft – a milestone recently highlighted by their performance at the Henley Rewind Festival 2026. Following a successful summer of growing their fanbase, Last July is heading into Sensible Studios in Kings Cross this September to record their best material. Their setlist features standout tracks like the moving “Hopeless” and the melodic “Fly On By,” establishing them as an unforgettable live act.

Steelers

Steelers are a Leeds Conservatoire-formed five-piece blending 80s-inspired Indie band with a modern twist. Since forming just six months ago, they’ve made waves with their debut single “The Part That Hurts The Most” (Nov 2024) and follow-up “Come Get Your Man” (Jan 2025), which earned BBC radio play and critical acclaim. Known for high-energy live shows and undeniable chemistry, Steelers—Noah Clegg, Isaac Chinneck, Abi Littlewood, Austin Riley, and George Card—have sold out venues across Leeds and graced magazine covers. Their latest EP “Good things will happen tonight” dropped in June 2025, solidifying their spot in the UK’s rising indie scene.

HALFCUT

HALFCUT boast a sound & image reminiscent of classic rock, with modern alternative influences. They deliver a soaring & hypnotic performance via their haunting yet anthemic catalogue. Placed on bills alongside The Molotov’s, Villanelle and The Howlers and selling out Exeter venue The Cavern; Lucas Shaw, Ollie March, Gil Westley and Will Read have proved they have the power to stand out alongside big names and are soon to join their ranks. Debut EP Rough and Tumble captured a raw sound they’ve since sharpened into something deliberate, adding polish to the spark that makes HALFCUT unmissable. Upcoming singles ‘Saint Sidwell’s Strut’ and ‘Mescaline’ deliver and are unmistakably theirs.

The Afterword

The Afterword are a London- and Oxford-based duo writing melodic indie-pop songs shaped by bittersweet self-irony, big choruses and cinematic melancholy. Songwriters Tom Walkden and Alex Billig share an instinct for melody and a fondness for music and stories that don’t always end up where they seem to be heading. Acoustic guitar and piano sit alongside electronic beats, close harmonies and more expansive arrangements. Recent performances include a headline slot at the Waves Festival in Vienna, and their songs have been played on the BBC and stations across Europe. Their debut EP, “Floating Up To Meet You”, is released on Fabrique Records on 16 October with an album set to follow next year.
