The Steam Engine is a traditional British pub in the heart of Waterloo. Offering a varied range of craft beers, cask ales, fine wines and premium spirits, this is a classy watering hole made for kicking back and unwinding.

Settle at one of their snug Chesterfield sofas for a catch up or mosey on outside to the spacious beer garden to catch some rays, there’s a friendly atmosphere throughout.

There’s plenty of activity in the kitchen too, as the venue has a Burger Craft diner.

A word from the chef:
Burger Craft, voted one of the top 10 burgers in London by Twenty Something LDN, is its very own super-cool,in-house burger pop-up. Home to the famous Juicy Bastard burger(amongst many other wonderfully indulgent burgers and tapas) and made with the finest ingredients from the best suppliers out there.

I booked a table for 10 people at the Steam Engine on Saturday 2nd July 16. I received my confirmation e-mail at the time of booking and a reminder e-mail the day before we were due to visit. Unfortunately when we arrived the pub were not aware we were coming! Thankfully the pub wasn't busy and we managed to grab the last two tables. Selection of gins is great. Being a non-gin drinker before I am now a convert. The food was wonderful too. I had the loaded fries and can highly recommend them. Will visit again but if making a group booking may err on the side of caution and call the pub to check they have actually received the booking! Sarah visited The Steam Engine on 02 Jul 2016
