The space is lovely. The food was alright but the service was really quite poor. We were a table of 12 booked for 9pm. We must have arrived about 5 to ten minutes late. No one came to take drinks orders or anything for at least 10-15 minutes at which point we were also told that the kitchen would be closing in five minutes -oddly early and you would have thought they might have alerted us sooner. We only ordered mains. Food for about five of us came out very quickly, the other five had to wait for another ten minutes and the last two probably didn't get their food for another ten to fifteen after that. Despite that no apology was offered from the staff tanyaqadir visited The Trafalgar Arms on 13 May 2017

in general a very good night out, however a couple of the food orders were wrong. My friend ordered the stilton, walnut and apple salad but when it arrived there was only the stilton on it. When queried they'd run out of apples but didn't tell us at the time of ordering. I ordered the chicken and leek pie but when that arrived it was a steak pie. The reason I got was they hadn't amended the menus. I did keep the pie and it was still nice, just not what I was expecting. The lady was very apologetic and they did remember to remove the salad from our bill cos my friend sent hers back and didn't want it. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 22 Apr 2017

The food was great when it eventually arrived but it took almost 30mins for our drinks order to come out, and the food took over one hour!!! Even though the food was tasty, the wait was way too long and we had to rush our lunch as some of us had places to be. Bit of a shame really! visited The Trafalgar Arms on 26 Mar 2017

Had no record of the booking I had made, despite my having a email confirmation. Hence no table available apart from a low sofa, not ideal to eat a roast. Service to ask when other tables would be free was non existent so we left. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 26 Mar 2017

A superb place for Sunday lunch. There were nine of us, including 4 small children. We had a long table by the bar upstairs which gave the children a perfect place to spread out. The food was superb, the service very friendly. The staff were great with the kids! The food was painfully slow to come out (we waited a good hour) but they were madly busy - and it was a chilled out Sunday afternoon so we didn't mind. I couldn't help but think the kitchen may be too small for the amount of people they can accommodate? We'll definitely be back - great experience all round. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 26 Mar 2017

Food was nice but overpriced. My dessert came out slightly tepid instead of hot and when I asked if I could box it up to take it home the waiter said yes but returned with the bill and no doggy bag. He then disappeared so I couldn't ask him about where the rest of my pudding was and when I asked other waiting staff they said they didn't know where it had gone. Not really what you expect when you're paying £7 for a cold crumble... visited The Trafalgar Arms on 12 Feb 2017

We visited the Trafalgar Arms to celebrate my sisters birthday. I can not fault the food, the roasts were delicious. My only negative point is the fact that when we arrived our private room was not set up and not decorated. It was like the room was not being used for the afternoon. During the week leading up to the lunch I spoke with Erin who said it was fine to deliver balloons to her the day before and would therefore place them on the table as asked. It was also stated that the table would be all set up with flowers in the middle. Unfortunately none of this was done for our arrival which was very disappointing and spoiled the surprise for my sister. Would of reviewed higher, but unfortunately because our private room that we organised was not ready for us, I feel very let down. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 05 Feb 2017

Great Sunday Roast and possibly the best one in Tooting Broadway! Service by our waitress was prompt although the food took a little long to arrive although we were warned by our waitress of a 35 minute delay due to a party for 70 also being catered for upstairs. The food arrived after an hour and a bit but was well worth the wait! The crumble I had could have benefited from a little more fruit but it was delicious nonetheless. Pub was lovely warm with the fires on the go. A lovely Sunday luncheon experience. Thanks to the team. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 08 Jan 2017

The atmosphere was good, the good was fine, but the service was painfully slow and while the staff tried their best, it was clear the place was understaffed. I had made a booking for 10 ppl for our Christmas family lunch on a Sunday a few weeks in advance and the booking was lost. These things happen. Especially around manic Christmas! The staff did all they could to try and sort the issue out. They managed to sort us out a big table at the back near the kitchen which was actually great as it was quite quiet. We had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend visited The Trafalgar Arms on 11 Dec 2016

Had a great night in the private wine room. Had to chase up drinks orders and an hour wait between starters and mains but for a large group so close to Christmas was not unexpected and staff were brilliant and smiley all night. Didn't have huge expectations for food but it was all excellent and perfectly cooked. We left very happy and would recommend The trafalgar based on our visit. Also thought the booking system was great and hassle free. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 10 Dec 2016

We had a lovely evening! The private room was perfect for the occasion and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The portions were very generous and everyone left feeling satisfied. Service on the evening was very attentive and although it wasn't particularly fast, they were kind enough to delay the courses to suit our needs which we really appreciated! My only minor criticism is that although I provided a seating plan (a week in advance when I paid the deposit) it had not been implemented on the night. When the guests arrived there was a little confusion as they all tried to put their bags down at their seats and were told to wait while we re-shuffled. Given how friendly the staff were on the night, it was a shame that when I paid the deposit I received an abrupt and dismissive response to my perhaps 'overly-fussy' questions. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 07 Dec 2016

The good bit first; the service was excellent, friendly, accommodating but regrettably that's where it ends. On recommendation from a friend I took my wife and elderly Mum for sunday lunch. My wife and Mum went for the roast beef, big mistake - my wife's was ok but my Mum's was just too chewy to be edible. It was appalling. The veg was luke warm at best on both plates also. I went for a burger - it was ok, not best tender and at over £13 ridiculously overpriced. If you're a trendy Tooting 30+ something who enjoys spartan facilities and abstract music played at a volume which means you have to raise your voice to have a conversation (if you happen to be stuck under speakers as we were, it's even worse as there was no where else to sit) then certainly this is the place for you. In fairness when the waitress came over at the end of our meal she refunded a roast beef and was very apologetic - again, no issues with service. However, service aside, this place is 'gastro style over substance' which, at the price, does not represent good value. My advice would be that you stroll 5 minutes further down the road to The Castle, better environment, wider menu and the ambience of warm friend and family conversation over a relaxing sunday lunch....precisely what sunday lunches are for... visited The Trafalgar Arms on 04 Dec 2016

We were celebrating my son's Blessing. The waiter forgot 3 meals not onces but two times. I ended up having my meal over 1 hour after my guests and after people started 2 leave. We ordered the butternut risotto, for them to bring mushroom risotto. Absolutely terrible. Arrived at time booked in advance and was told there would be a wait while the table was cleared of the previous diners. Five minute wait in total, so not bad to be fair. Had ordered drinks, so so far so good, and then... We were told by the waiter, arrogant, rude, and honestly not very bright, that the chef was taking a break in orders due to the amount of orders received, and then he walked off. He came back and said the manager was going to come and see me!!!. Manager arrives, and states, can she help me. What???. I then say excuse me, and she repeats herself. After this time I finally say your waiter hasn't explained, and the answer was no. The long and short of it there was no dinner in the end and no real understanding from your staff. They felt that trying to be cool, restaurant being busy is good customer service, it isn't. If that's being cool, please, I'm no fool, and the waiter who served us, ha ha! Deeply disappointed as it looks like a nice space, and the food looked like it would have been nice, the whole point I thought, but perhaps I'm wrong. Staff need to get over themselves a bit. Their not as cool as they think they are or whatever other nonsense that goes through their heads. Every customer deserves the same, every customer! Anyway good luck with it all, you'll get enough good reviews, so it will work out no doubt. Just a shame we were let down. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 25 Nov 2016

Also we ordered at only 2.30 and the pork roast had already run out. We then had to wait an hour for our food to arrive. But the food wasn't great at all, we ordered the pie with mash, the mash tasted very sticky and stale, not enjoyable unfortunately, and the pie meat was tough as old boots... we did not leave empty plates. The starters were delicious on the other hand, shame about the mains :( visited The Trafalgar Arms on 25 Oct 2016

Delicious Sunday lunch - guests in our party enjoyed the chicken and beef roasts. The desserts looked good but we were too stuffed to enjoy. The cheese board was disappointing and the service was friendly but a bit slow. Still, it was busy so that won't put us off; we'd definitely return. visited The Trafalgar Arms on 23 Oct 2016

Had a wake for my Aunt. Great venue & helpful staff who didn't bat an eyelid when my uncle crashed into a table and broke a load of glasses. Big thanks to Siobhan for arranging it. John visited The Trafalgar Arms on 08 Jun 2016

We (a party of 16 + 2 toddlers) celebrated a lunchtime birthday in The Wine Bar. Siobhan was a great help beforehand in planning. Roy was fabulous on the day. All meals arrived exactly as booked, with waiting staff calling out our names. ('Terrace' is not exactly a terrace, but having doors to the outside was really useful.) Definitely recommended! helenmgale visited The Trafalgar Arms on 11 Jun 2016
