Viaduct Tavern

Description

The Viaduct Tavern is a proper good pub found in the heart of the City near St. Pauls.

Anyone wanting a side of history with their burger and beer will be excited by the prospect of visiting a site with such an eclectic past; this pub was once a gin palace and then a debtors prison. Thankfully the vibe has changed over time and now its one of the friendliest joints around! Surrounded by historic British icons including St Paul's Cathedral, The Old Bailey, and Smithfield Meat Market (just a short walk away) this pub has oodles of charm with its historical artifacts displayed all over the place.

Families are welcome and there's free wifi, which makes this a great spot for lunch in the middle of a day out in central London; especially with their menu of crowd-pleasing toasties like New York Deli or a good old ham and cheese. You'll also be spoilt for choice when you want to wash your meal down, or when you pop in after work looking to relax; their range of gins in particular is really impressive.
