Description

Be-Bop-A-Lula is a pub dedicated to 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll in Stoke Newington.

Coming from the team behind The Alma and North by Northwest, the space offers British pub quality with American rock diner sensibilities, keeping music firmly at its centre. The walls are covered with old artwork and posters from the 50s, with musicians like Gene Vincent, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry appearing, and there’s 30 guitars strung up above the bar. The retro theme continues with retro TVs, record players and a Wurlitzer jukebox hosting 1000s of classics.

Besides regular live bands, rockaoke (pre-60s only), and live sports, they serve up a variety of classic diner food. Expect to find small plates like Little Richards, which are mini pork sausages in honey mustard, or The Famous Elvis Sandwich, created using toasted bloomer bread, mashed banana, peanut butter and bacon. There’s also ribs, burgers and pizza, as well as American beers and local Islington lager from Hammerton Brewery.
