Description
Boasting postcard views of Tower Bridge and London's city skyline is The Vault 1894, a historic pub right by the River Thames. Its rustic interiors and low ceilings are among its plethora of cool and quirky features. The pub itself sits at just 5 feet high, reflecting the average height of Londoners back in the 1890s (there are seven signs telling you to mind your head, just in case).
It's the perfect place to head for a post-work pint or a cocktail. Be sure to try out their happy hour, where you can nab 2-4-1 on a range of cocktails including their espresso martini, Aperol spritz, negroni and Long Island ice tea. Their food menu is also full of pub classics, such as hearty fish and chips and a classic cheeseburger.
The back window is also entirely made out of glass, meaning visitors can get a glimpse of the infrastructure underneath Tower Bridge. Plus, the walls are covered in historic images of the bridge allowing you to transport yourself back in time. This spot is a history lover's paradise.
