Old Red Lion

Description

Across the road from Kennington Tube station, on bustling Kennington Park Road, The Old Red Lion has been described by locals as 'an oasis of a pub’. A Grade II listed building with a historical mock Tudor frontage, traditional wooden beams, low ceilings, fireplaces, a central island bar and a gorgeous wisteria canopying the back courtyard. This pub goes back to 1750.

On the menu you'll find a host of generous pub classics, just how it should be. From handmade sausage rolls and 1/2 pint jugs of whitebait to pie & mash and cider-battered fish and chips. Sundays are all about the roast, with enormous Yorkshire puddings and plenty of gravy.

The bar serves both traditional ales, classic lagers and trendier beers with a point of difference. The friendly team also love to shake up a cocktail and 2 for £14 cocktails are available all day, every day.
