The Macbeth

Description

The Macbeth Bar and Venue has been a staple of the live music and arts scene in East london spanning over 100 years.

They have played host to an eclectic mix of artists from Peter Doherty to Damien Marley, Bombay Bicycle Club to Florence and the Machine, Roots Manuva to Professor Green, it has established itself as a champion of music of all genres.

The Macbeth in Hoxton is set to reopen in August, following an exciting revamp that blends its rich musical heritage with a fresh culinary direction. Now under the helm of ex-Four Legs chef Jamie Allan, the iconic venue will relaunch as a Portuguese-inspired gastropub, offering dishes like snail rice and pork and cheese rolls, served late into the evening.

The refurbishment includes a stripped-back interior, a new oak bar, and the restoration of a Victorian mural depicting a banquet scene from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
