Description

A vibrant gastropub with its finger in many pies, The Miller is a popular Borough hangout that you can easily find from London Bridge station. The venue is a hub of activity, coming complete with a basement rehearsal studio, a function room art gallery and one of the best beer gardens in the area, but The Miller's pièce de résistance is arguably the awesome roof terrace. Revellers come for a few games of ping pong after work and return at the weekend, when DJs come out to play late into the evening.

The interior is an eclectic mix of modern and retro furnishings, and the walls are lined with artwork from the edgy art collective, Pure Evil. The Miller has built a reputation for serving a great selection of locally brewed ciders and craft beers, and if you're hungry it's all about Bunsmiths. www.bunsmiths.com They love a party at The Miller, and have set aside two private rooms devoted to hosting your bespoke celebrations.

The Miller is a cool and quirky gem popular with an eclectic bunch. Ideal for those looking to jam in the studio, after-work drinks in their beer garden and having a boogie at the weekend.

A great variety of activities on offer- the miller is a very versatile venue and the laid back atmosphere means it's perfect for chilled out food and drinks with great company

Last Tuesday at lunch time between 1.00 and 2.00 pm I came there for lunch with a colleague. I was verbally assaulted by one of the barman who told me I should learn how to speak better English when I pointed out they took my wrong order and refused to either change it or give me a refund! I am vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian panini. When I got a sausage panino I brought it back saying it was the wrong order because I am vegetarian and I do not eat meat. After half hour no new panino was brought over to my table, neither apology nor offer to refund. I had to explicitely go and ask the barman what was going on and was told that I made the wrong order and that I should have told him that I want another panino instead of the wrong one. Then I got the verbal assault that my I do not know how to speak English. Will never go back there despite working locally.

This pub is amazing but hidden so not over crowded, reasonable priced drinks and the ping pong table on the roof is amazing, we we're the only ones up there, only able to play until 9pm though but for free, beats going to Bounce or somewhere like that and paying extortionate prices. A must visit!!

last week was my first visit since the revamp and wow! the roof terrace is great. had a good game of ping pong, a couple of pints and finished it all off with a hot dog. great venue, and a breath of fresh air next to all other local pubs, the miller has a really chilled vibe. love it.
