Absurd, ludicrous and surreal, Ouroboros: The Return by Charlotte Fox to Premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Fox prepares a warm up show here at the Rosie.
Fox's original solo work promises to take audiences on a wild and hilarious journey into the realm of absurdist and surreal comedy, with this one-of-a-kind, one woman show.
Written and performed by sassy alternative comedian and clown Charlotte Fox, a graduate of prestigious Ecole Jacques Lecoq and Phillipe Gaulier, an alumni of Soho Theatres galaxy of rising stars. In collaboration with Benji Sperring and Russell Lucas.
Nestled between the abstract world of flamingos, marabou stork nightmares and showbiz. The show features charlottes trademark physical virtuosity as she stylishly weaves two colourful worlds. As she embarks on a whirlwind journey of delicious chaos. Through a series of vignettes that blend provocative performance art, characters, stand up comedy, dance and music this show will leave you astonished, amused whilst simultaneously embracing the joys of unconventional. In a world of overconsumption, addiction, mania, narcissism and our desperate need for the quick fix rules. Fox is trapped in a constant cycle of reinvention as she strives to seek validation and acceptance. However she discovers this self perpetuated struggle leaves her thrown around from the inside out with a series of harmful and self destructive habits.
Will she be devoured by the lethal serpent of competition, rivalry and revenge?
Based on Fox's experience in entertainment with addiction, mental health, body image, dysmorphia and suicidal ideation.

We encourage patrons to wear a mask while moving around the building and when seated in the theatre.
Seating is not socially distanced. The theatre is ventilated before and after every performance with regular and thorough cleaning of touch points. Hand sanitiser and face masks are available onsite.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
