Description

Set a stone's throw away from Chelsea Football stadium in suburban Fulham, The Harwood Arms is the acclaimed gastro pub baby of Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. Expect chummy informality, bare tables, real ales and cheery service rather than high-end reverence or pomposity.

The pub is a light, uncluttered and relaxing affair with scuffed, leather-coated chairs, natural woods, antique pine tables and fancy crockery and napery. The Harwood Arms offers the perfect setting for a quiet Sunday roast in London or mid-week dinner, serving anything but your average food grub. Sample dishes such as Blade of aged English beef with baked beetroot and smoked bone marrow (£18.00), followed by mouthwatering poached pear and almond cake with clotted cream ice cream (£8.00).  Almost as impressive as the food is their wine selections with over thirty different types, reasonably priced and available by the glass. The Pub is a popular residency for both locals and those further afield so reservation is advisable particularly during Chelsea home games.
