Description

Huge selection of constantly rotating craft beers on our impressive tap wall. We choose the best beers from the coolest and most interesting breweries in London right now. We have exclusive access to small batch beers from your favourite breweries, including Beavertown, Brick and Wild.

Music comes solely from vinyl, no digital files or CDs. Classic sounds and obscure sounds from our crate digging go head to head. Customers are welcome to bring their own records along on Sundays, or come down on Friday and Saturday nights to hear our DJs raid their massive collections of 12"s and LPs.

Fantastic pub grub is the order of the day, from our very own chorizo and pork burger through to the vegan friendly pea and mint risotto. All ingredients are locally sourced and everything is, of course, cooked to order.

Our garden has three things going for it. One, it's absolutely huge, plus it keeps the sun all day. It also has it's own bar so you don't even need to break your tanning to get rehydrated.

Great night out with firelpits, good food and beer. The staff were great however one staff member wasn't too helpful when it came to the beer selection. visited Watson's General Telegraph on 14 Jan 2017

What a lovely surprise to find a pub open on Boxing Day with a genuine, happy and welcoming team. Though packed with kids the atmosphere was great, the food was really well cooked and the service was very attentive. We will certainly be back. visited Watson's General Telegraph on 26 Dec 2016

Went there for pre-Xmas drinks. Staff were great and place was nice but most of my friends ended up feeling unwell after eating here... Even vegetarian meals.. visited Watson's General Telegraph on 17 Dec 2016

Hello, it would be useful to know when you had your event and what you ordered from the menu. We haven't received any complaints from other customers so it seems a little odd?

Great vibe, excellent choice of beer and drinks, kid friendly, nice staff. Food was pretty good but not excellent- we had a mixed response at our table (mac and blue cheese was very well received, but the squash salad was a bit salty and intense, starters were all yum) visited Watson's General Telegraph on 10 Dec 2016

We had our annual Christmas get together at WGT and booked a meal for 28 people. The tables were beautifully presented, staff - particularly Nat - were so lovely and accommodating and the food was absolutely perfect. Every person said it was the nicest food they had had compared to other pubs at Christmas - the steak in particular was divine. we are all dying to come back again!! Thanks for a fab night!! visited Watson's General Telegraph on 10 Dec 2016

Over the years I have always been throughly disappointed in the standard of Sunday Roasts served in the East Dulwich area. Always over priced and of poor standard, so it was a pleasant surprise to find that The Watson General wasn't like all the other pubs. The food was very nice and I will certainly go back again. visited Watson's General Telegraph on 13 Nov 2016

Food is excellent , particularly the veggie roast , and you get veggie gravy which is top stars. The ambience, and top notch selection of beers and staff friendless, and warmth is 10 out of 10 . This is a great pub / eating , relaxed venue . visited Watson's General Telegraph on 13 Nov 2016

Booked the outside area 3 weeks ago and turn up with my party of 14 people who where there to celebrate my birthday to find out that the space was being used for a function and that the GM took my booking and didn't think to email / call to say that I now couldnt use the space any longer . The manager wouldn't ask the 3 people that was sitting there to move to a different table. We didn't stay and none of the 14 local people that came out would go back ! I'm not surprised that the pub isn't always busy with no one knowing what the hell is going on in the place ! If your thinking of booking this place DON'T BOTHER !!!!!!!! visited Watson's General Telegraph on 12 Nov 2016

Just spent a Saturday night in a large group at Watson's General telegraph for a birthday party. it's a cool pub with a nice selection of craft beers. The food was a bit hit and miss though: the steak and the fish & chips both went down well but others in the group were unimpressed - one had to send their blackened salmon with mixed grains back as it was stone cold. We were told the chef said it was meant to served that way, but she said it should be taken off the menu if that is the case as it was inedible. Other than that, we had a cool night. Nice smoking area outside, with fire pits and friendly bar staff. My only criticism other than some of the food disappointing was there was no space cleared for dancing. I booked an area here for my birthday after being told by a friend it was lively place open till late with a DJ (something sorely lacking in East Dulwich), but the set up isn't really geared towards that. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but then why bother with a DJ? We ended up having to dance around our tables as there wasn't really space to get a proper dance floor going. visited Watson's General Telegraph on 05 Nov 2016
