The Ox Clapham

Description

We are a modern British gastropub in the heart of Clapham, bringing together the warmth and character of a traditional pub with seasonal British cooking, a carefully considered bar and a collection of spaces made for bringing people together.

We have created a warm and welcoming pub that combines traditional British character with a contemporary feel. Whether you're joining us for a quick pint, a long lunch, dinner with friends or a Sunday roast, we want The Ox to feel like somewhere you can settle in and stay awhile.

We have a space for every occasion. Our Snug is a cosy, intimate space tucked away from the main pub, perfect for group gatherings and relaxed celebrations. Upstairs, The Mezzanine offers a semi private setting with its own little bar, giving groups their own space while still feeling part of the atmosphere of The Ox.

When the sun is shining, our Terrace is the place to be, perfect for drinks, lunch, dinner or simply settling in with a cold pint and watching Clapham go by. And when the sun isn’t shining, our cozy cushions and heaters are a perfect match for a wine and a snack.

For something more exclusive, The Playroom is our fully private room, complete with its own bar. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, hosting a private dinner, planning a party or bringing the team together, The Playroom gives you the freedom to make the space your own.

Our beef comes from our own Kedzlie Farm in the Scottish Borders, where Charolais, Limousin and native Luing cattle are raised on natural pasture and grains. Carefully dry-aged for exceptional tenderness and rich, nutty flavour — a true farm-to-fork experience from our fields to your plate.

At the bar, you'll find a selection of beers, wines, cocktails and spirits, alongside the kind of perfectly poured pint that makes a great pub.

There’s always a reason to come to The Ox. Find more information on our events through our website:

Tuesdays are for Steak Night

Wednesdays are for our Pub Quiz

Thursdays are Pies & Pints

Friday and Saturday nights bring live music or DJs and a 2am finish

Sundays are all about the roast — proper British comfort food, good drinks and time with friends and family

Add our terrace, Snug, Mezzanine and private Playroom into the mix, and whether you're popping in for a pint or planning a proper celebration, we’ve got a space and an occasion for you.
