Wine Tasting 'Winter Warmers'

This month's wine tasting is 'Winter Warmers' The nights are drawing in, the mercury is dropping, and its time to break out the woolly jumper - Winter is nearly upon us. Luckily there are plenty of wines out there that can help keep out the chill. Of course we'll be opening a plethora of chunky reds - spicy Shiraz, dark-fruited Cabernets, and full-bodied Malbecs are all featured to the fore, but it's not all about red wine. There are some full and rich whites that are guaranteed to warm the cockles - rich Marsannes from the Rhone Valley, big and spicy Gewurztraminer from Alsace, and even some ripe Chardonnay for those of you who are not afraid of a little oak. As a special treat we'll be cracking the ultimate cold weather wine, a classic Port, plus we'll be tasting one of the most unusual, but fantastic, of all the winter warmers - a sparkling Australian red. Truly something for everyone. Booking is advised at £15 per person to join in, or £22 with a full meal.
