For a unique, traditional pub experience in the heart of London, make sure you call in to The Princess of Wales.
Conveniently located in Charing Cross, just a short walk from Embankment and Trafalgar Square, this charming pub is named after George IV’s secret first wife, Maria Fitzherbert. The reason you’ve probably never heard of Maria? She was a Catholic, so the marriage was declared illegal.
As a specialist pie house, you’ll find an impressive choice of hearty pies on the menu, all served up with mash and washed down with local craft ales. Or, if spirits are more your thing, there’s always a fine selection of gins and whiskies behind the bar.
