Description
The Leather Exchange in Bermondsey is a hidden backstreet gem, located in the historical Leather and Hide district of London. it has been a public house since 1878 and occupies part of the former London Leather Hide & Wool Exchange buildings. It is located just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of London Bridge and Bermondsey Street.
Quirky pub, tavern, gastro - it's a bit of everything, with music inspired from the 70s to the 90s. You'll hear the likes of Neil Young, Alabama 3 to Joaquin Sabina in the background.
A variety of ales, cider, lagers and wines are always available, along with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Table service is encouraged, with a menu of quality, locally sourced ingredients available from the kitchen at lunchtime and evenings. inspired by British, Spanish, and Latin cuisine.
Live sports are shown on the screens in the bar area, with upcoming sporting fixtures being advertised on social media, the website and outside the pub. Booking in advance is recommended for big sporting events which can be very popular.
An upstairs function room with a roaring open fire is available and is suitable for a range of occasions accommodating up to 35 seated, and 60 standing people. All family, and office functions are catered for.
