Great pub and perfect for the football. Brilliant screens and commentary all the way through. Only downside was the wings had no flavour what so ever and a complete waste of money. visited The Regent on 17 Oct 2016

I had a lunch booking at The Regent and it was lovely. We had to push the reservation back by an hour or so and the staff were very accommodating. Additionally, we had a small dog with us and they were more than happy with that! The food isn't anything too spectacular but is yummy all the same, and there's a decent drinks menu. The atmosphere when we went was chilled and relaxed. I've visited since for coffee and a beer or two and I'm sure it'll become a regular!

Book an area for my birthday breakfast and turned up finding a beautifully set up table with balloons and party poppers! They even ordered in croissant and pain au chocolat for us! Service was faultless! Thanks The Regent. lone visited The Regent on 02 Jun 2016

Organised a 30th for a Friday night which went well. We left the birthday cake behind the counter and returned to collect it on Sunday. The cake was not even cut when we left on Friday and when we returned to collect it, firstly we were told they had thrown it out, which was questioned then they admitted it was still there and brought out the cake, which had one slice remaining. It was bad enough that the cake had been eaten but the staff attitude was a disgrace, lies and not a shred of guilt for what had happened. Offered drinks the next time were their but we won’t be back to get them. Not impressed. p_kell19 visited The Regent on 06 May 2016

A friend and I went for a catch up Sunday roast. I live just around the corner and love the cosy, relaxed atmosphere of this pub. The staff are so friendly and nothing's too much trouble. Such a shame the food doesn't match up. It's not bad, just nothing to write home about. Only 2 roast potatoes each, the meat was a bit dry and the veg was just quite tasteless. Make the food a bit better and you will be my favourite local pub for a roast. The Grove currently wins out when it comes to food unfortunately. amymawby visited The Regent on 06 Dec 2015

Had my 26th Birthday there on Saturday with 25 people on WRC Game day. The staff were phenomenal and made sure we had a great time despite being busy. 11 hours in there and the atmosphere stayed great. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a venue for a gathering. Jamie visited The Regent on 24 Oct 2015

Booked a table for to watch England vs Wales, made us arrive 2 hours before the game (fair enough) then flat down refused to show the preceding South Africa game as the 'wanted a different atmosphere' between the two rooms despite the fact that all table were booked for the Rugby. Three bar staff for a bar this size on match day meant getting a drink was all but impossible. Such a shame as it was a grand bar before the refurbishment

We recently held a 40th B'day Party at The Regent, Madhi and the guys are incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble, all guests commented on the fantastic venue and we had the best party ever!

Great sports pub. Always showing the matches and have 2 big screens and a couple of TV's so if there is more than one thing on at a time then they will likely show both. For bigger events it's best to reserve a table a few days before as it can get busy. You can have table service in the sports bar area too. Food is pretty good and prices are reasonable.

Having been for a Sunday roast 6 months ago we took some friends to The Regent for lunch last Sunday and were very disappointed. The roasts weren't bad, but they were not nearly as good as they used to be (smaller portions, dry meat, meals did not come out at the same time) and so are no longer worth the price tag, especially not when so many pubs do a good roast. A shame really because I like the atmosphere and setting, but won't be going back for roast again.

Great service, very friendly & helpful staff - they even gave us balloons &sweets for the 2 babies whose birthdays it was without us asking. Lovely food and nice pub, would recommend it to friends

The Regent is a dam good pub with good food and excellent staff who went out of the way to help celebrating our upgrade from Civil Partnership to Marriage. They appear gay friendly and its now our local

The setting and ambience was good and service was reasonable. The place was well decorated for Halloween. The food was, however, mediocre. Not much taste, one dish came cold when it should have been hot (presume they forgot to put it in the microwave) and the soup was suspiciously like packet stuff. I wouldn't rush back.

Reserved a space here for a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. Had a really lovely time, with friendly, professional, approachable but not intrusive staff. The venue was a big hit with our group of about 20. The fairy lights are very cute, making a nice backdrop for photos and there is a nice overall relaxed vibe. The food was generally good, though a couple of our burgers not as hot as they should have been. Only a minor problem though. We'll definitely be going back.

Terrible. Our table for Sunday lunch was booked online but when we turned up they'd put us directly in front of the big screen football in a back room. They moved is when I asked but then said there'd be an hours wait for food and all the veggie options were off. We left and won't be coming back.

This pub is so cute, restaurant with twinkly lights looks very pretty and sports type bar out the back. Had live msic between 4pm-7pm a young guy playing guitar and covering realy soulfall classics and modern tunes too. We had a roast here the roast chicken was huge - half a chicken but hardly any veg or gravy, the meat got cold pretty quickly so would have preferred less meat and more veg/potatoes (i only got 2 little ones) and more gravy. Very cute and romantic seating as well as sporty type place for the lads out the back.

Visited last night... what a disaster. No service, dirty glasses, long wait for food, ignorant waitress(with attitude) and no manager on one of the most busiest night of the week.... could go on, but just waste of time. Save you time and money....

Yeh like it here. Good food, cosy good atmosphere and unfortunately, good for sport (fortunately for my boyfriend)
