On the site of the old Bedlam hospital, where crowds once gathered to mock the crazies, rose a Masonic tabernacle, home to clandestine gatherings and arcane rituals. Fallen into disuse, walled up and derelict, the Grecian Masonic Temple at Liverpool Street lay bereft and forgotten for decades.
This spring A Curious Invitation and the East End Film Festival will return to the marbled splendour of the City’s only original Freemasons’ lodge for a macabre night of cabaret, circus and cinema.
Please note the film starts at 7:30 pm in the Temple. The rest of the entertainment starts afrom 9:00.pm. If you're not coming to the film we suggest arriving after 9:00 but not too long after as due to the Grade I listed status of the Temple the programming for this event runs earlier than usual. Please refer to the schedule in the photos.
We will be using the entrance to the Andaz hotel at 40 Liverpool Street. The porters inside the hotel will direct you to the party.
