Broadway Market

Description

East London’s buzzy heart is Broadway Market, Hackney’s weekend playground. Every Saturday from 9am to 5pm (and a quieter Sunday market from 10am to 4pm), the cobbled street bursts to life with over 100 stalls lining the road between London Fields and the Regent’s Canal.

Picture artisan pastries from Pavilion Bakery, global street food - from Ethiopian platters to cinnamon rolls - mixed with vintage threads, vinyls and handcrafted jewellery. Expect independent shops, quirky cafes, and the aroma of fresh coffee.

It’s been serving the community since the 1880s, evolving from a humble produce market to a stylish hub where local artisans, foodies, and vintage lovers meet. Now it’s a genuine foodie heaven - artisan sourdough, gluten-free doughnuts, Caribbean jerk, Turkish gözleme, and more compete for attention.

And beyond the stalls, discover cosy bars like The Dove, Cat & Mutton, tapas at El Ganso, and leafy lounging in nearby London Fields or by the canal.
