Dance off East
David Agrella
Michael Morley
Secret special Guest of DFA from NYC
After Simon Ratcliffe's Basement Jaxx performance at The Social (house of Dance Off vs Heavenly Social Friday nights) DANCE OFF brings the friendly experimental dancefloor vibe to East London!
'Dance Off East' is a new venture with the legendary East London after-hours party venue, 'Horse & Groom', which will focus on extending explosive & contemporary edge into dance-floor dj experimentation. The 1st guest will be a mystery dj/producer/promoter from NYC, via Portland, who has been running plenty of legendary after-hours parties of his own across the Atlantic, and has releases, either out or coming, via premium labels DFA, Prah, and Meakusma, all effortlessly blurring any barriers between classic, classical, minimal, funk and flair.

DANCE OFF
'Dance Off' is a monthly club event that has been running for over a year in central London: a collaboration between residents, fresh Italian dj/house producer, David Agrella, and internationally renowned A&R DJ/music innovators Michael 'Miggs' Morley (a man who signed Daft Punk, M.I.A. & Vampire Weekend amongst others, & is the instigator of Lucky Number Music), and the Heavenly Social. The event is focused on spreading the word & sound of dance music's creative malleability, with both live music and dj expression – in the last 2 months they have hosted the debut live performance of indie poster boy Oscar's dance-based collaboration, Claude Money, and the first London dj gig since the '90's from Italian underground dance music legend, Salvatore Stallone. This month they have also posted the first of a series of exclusive mixes, from Basement Jaxx's Simon Ratcliffe, ahead of him performing a set just a day before launching the Sankey's Warehouse Project in Manchester the day after.
