Terrible, paid £50 to reserve a table for 8 of us yet it was nowhere to be found upon arrival. The staff couldn't have been less interested in helping until I vented my frustration. Finally found us a booth seat for 6 yet there were 9 of us so friends who had travelled far and wide to meet up for the cup final were left spread out on 2 floors. i understand it was probably one of your busiest days of the year but that's why I booked, that's why I paid £50 in advance and quite frankly I couldn't be more disappointed in your service and attitude. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 27 May 2017

Very good atmosphere and plenty of screens etc. I know it was an exceptionally busy night but... The food was cold by the time it came. Again I know it was busy. Much worse we're the bar staff! It may have been a busy, stressful night but they were incredibly rude and ratty towards almost everyone. They weren't pouring full pints or pitchers and got Cross when people politely asked them to top up. They also didn't understand that people had paid deposits to book tables and again just got rude and agitated when people tried to explain. (This was in the pool room bar) Yes it was a busy and probably stressful night and the atmosphere was great, but you guys need to seriously up your game for events like that! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 24 May 2017

Woeful service. Requests not met, tried to resolve with the guy in charge, he was rude and quite frankly as illogical a man as I've ever dealt with. Would try to recover my deposit but not really worth based on how difficult they are to deal with. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 12 May 2017

Venue is great with the amount of screens available and good views (i.e. no one blocking you). But the food was not great. You would expect to have better quality of food to watch the Sports with but it wasn't great. People sitting on other tables around us had the same opinion. Please improve the food... more people will spend money then :) visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 11 May 2017

Nice enough venue and great coverage of the football match we came to watch. However, the food was absolutely abysmal - dry, tasteless and felt/looked very past the use by date. Not recommended if you are hungry but you are required to eat if you book a table ... I guess they don't have to try too hard with the food as they have a captive audience. Very disappointing visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 07 May 2017

had a good time because we had the VIP area to ourselves, there was hardly anyone in the whole place. For a central London venue the building was very tired as was the pool tables etc. No ball for the table football. Food was just about ok, not the nicest - all deep fried. Service was ok too. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 04 May 2017

We were one of around 25 people in the VIP room to watch a football match (made up of several small groups), and it was a great space to watch, with one huge screen at the front, a smaller one at the back and 3 more at the bar. C|omfy chairs also. Staff were really friendly throughout the venue. Thank you! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 04 May 2017

Very good and attentive service from the waiting staff. Having said this it was annoying to be asked if we required anything half way through a round of boxing. There is a limited food menu here and unfortunately nowhere near enough choice for GF and Vegans. The food that we did have was of above average though. The worst part of last night was the masses amount of cigarette smoke fumes passing into the rear of the GF, it was simply awful and at times, unbearable. It was the obviously from outside however, it was not pleasant and quite frankly spoilt my evening as I am a ex-smoker and this was the last thing I needed. To add to this they have just had the floor sanded and stank to high heaven of varnish and old boots visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 29 Apr 2017

The food was terrible but the service was great. Two burgers not cooked and they were, nicely, taken off the bill. There is a bright, sun-like light above every table and it makes watching the TVs very difficult. When we arrived to play table tennis, Rileys had no record of our booking and so we had to wait at least 15/20 minutes for the staff to set up the table tennis table before we could play. The table was set up in one of the busiest areas (near the bar upstairs) so we were constantly interrupted as people made their way to the bar/toilets. This disrupted the rhythm of our games.and was very frustrating. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience, especially as we had paid £20 to play. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 13 Apr 2017

Here was a lack in consistency in the quality of food. E.g. the salmon teriyaki was poor (small portion, very dry, no sauce) but the lamb shank was big and good. For the price, the food was poor. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 20 Mar 2017

Food wasn't great and the service was lacking. The food wasn't overly expensive so can side step that but whilst the service was quite friendly, no one was attentive or bothered. I arrived at the reserved table, my name was spelt wrong, I had no menus and then was told we couldn't order yet because the kitchen was too busy. Just something to bear in mind if you're expecting more. If you're relaxed about it then it won't bother you. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 13 Mar 2017

Got a great seat for the match. Good lovely atmosphere. The waitress we had wasn't the best. We'd order things on the menu that she didn't know were there, was quite rude sometimes and messed up orders without apologising. A friend asked for a tea before we left and she replied with 'oh they don't like to make tea and coffee' and walked away. Good vibes for the place. Arrived to be seated in a booth with our view restricted by till operators every few minutes. Asked to be moved and firstly told to put up with it. Continued to complain and eventually moved. Each drinks order took around 20 minutes to arrive. When we got the bill there £20pp we were told would be taken off our bill from the deposit we paid was refused. We were then told to wait for the manager to arrive which after 30 minutes of waiting were told he is dealing with an altercation outside the club. Another 10 minutes passed and staff agreed to honor our agreement made when making the booking. Will look for another sports bar next time. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 04 Mar 2017

Have to be honest - booking Riley's was the worst decision I've made in London this weekend. Food - ribs came out with hair on it, (returned for fresh ribs) pizza - was dropped on the floor. This info came from waitress and a 30 minute wait proceeded for the pizza and ribs. Table service was very slow and when drinks did arrive they were wrong or 1 drink was missing. Men's toilets / the middle trough was blocked - this was not blocked during the afternoon when I was in for drinks. All in all my experience with Riley's was horrendous and I'll not take in another sporting event at this venue again. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 04 Mar 2017

Had a good super bowl evening - strangely empty for one of the big events of the year. Pretty ordinary experience having paid £75 for a premium superbowl package, considering the price the service was poor - had to get our own drinks from the bar regularly despite the advertised waitress service, and a free becks in a plastic bottle and a sharing platter of pretty ordinary quality food didn't feel like value for money. The entire venue is a bit tired these days and the lack of hot water in the toilets is fairly astonishing. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 05 Feb 2017

Unfortunately my experience with Rileys Sports Bar was very bad. I booked a table for 25£ in advance to assist a football match, the match was sponsored on Match Pint, but unfortunately when we were in the bar the match wasn't on the screens. My friends and I booked a couple of American pool tables for 2 hours on Sat 21st Jan 2017. There was no charge for the pool tables as long as you spent £50/table/hour (so a total of £200), which was paid beforehand. The Good: - Nice location - A good sports bar experience, TVs with sports everywhere, reasonably priced drinks, etc. The Bad - One of the tables we had booked was initially allocated to somebody else. - The staff immediately added £80 to our tab for pool which shouldn't have been charged (£20/hour x 4). This was removed after it was raised. - The pool tables are reasonable if a little dated, but everything else was rubbish: every cue in place was knackered; most did not have tips/ends; no chalk to be found; no differentiation between the smaller English pool and larger American pool cues; one single triangle for all of the tables to share (yup, English and American used the same triangle...), and a single rest to be shared. - Food was mediocre... Although maybe I'm being slightly unfair on this point, since it's not like we were going to some top eatery. Overall, we had a good time but more due to the company and the fact we could still play pool. I can see that Riley's has rebranded and is now a more generic sports bar, but considering Riley's used to be THE place you'd go to play pool, you would hope they would keep some traditions and maintain some decent equipment! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 21 Jan 2017

Unbelievably poor, the decor was pretty disgusting as were the gents toilets. The food was terrible and as we were the first people there they had no wraps which was strange. The menu had a 2 for 1 offer but only on selected items. When we asked what they were we were shown three pictures on a menu with no information as to what they were. Dirty table. Items on the menu that weren't available and appalling service. It wasn't even that busy. I wouldn't ever go again and would deter anyone else from doing so. Beyond poor! JOHN visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 31 Dec 2016

Great for sport, nice layout, expensive but for that area of London not overly surprising. However, ridiculously understaffed for the event with 50% of the servers we dealt with being either useless or unfriendly, and it took far too long for our food to be served compared to similar venues visited previously. Will more than likely avoid in the future. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 19 Dec 2016

We only booked our party a few hours before going, so pleased they had space, 2 pool tables for 2 hours- result. We had food which wasn't the greatest the burgers were tasty and chips were nice but it would have been nice if the ribs had some meat on them. Pleased it was 2-4-£12.95 otherwise not worth it. After finishing our meal we were ready to play pool, the blank expression on their faces, they were having renovation works and their were no tables to play, complete shock as we'd only booked the table a few hours ago, surely they knew that. Had to wait whilst they sorted something out, not impressed. Discount given but wont be going back. Manager helpful visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 30 Nov 2016

Great venue for sports, but the service was terrible. It took us ages for us to get our drinks and it didn't seem like they had a universal protocol for dealing with various situations. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 26 Nov 2016

Decent atmosphere and service was good however it took 45 mins from sitting at the table to getting our first drinks, it was busy as the F1 had just started but for table service that was unacceptable, it would have definitely been quicker for me to go to the bar myself. Will most likely return as its a good sports venue with many screens and surround sound though! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 27 Nov 2016

A bit of misinformation when we arrived about our booking which took 25 minutes to sort out where our table was and where the match was being shown. We booked a table for 6 to watch Chelsea v Spurs. We were given a table that could only seat 4 with only 1 chair. It was right next to a pool table so we had no room at all. We couldn't watch the football as we were too far away from the small screens showing it. The barman was rude when we asked to be moved and when we finally spoke to the manager, he was totally disinterested, saying they were busy so he could do nothing about it. It was an experience that we will not be repeating! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 26 Nov 2016

The pool/ping pong tables were in good condition, and the room was not too crowded. I had pre-ordered food which arrived when requested and was very tasty. Although I had prepaid for the evening, the staff required my debit card to keep behind the bar. This would have been fine, except that despite my repeated requests, they did not subtract the cost of the food from the tab, and consequently my party went over budget. It was very annoying to be left out of pocket due to the till mismanagement. This also took a long time to sort out - it appeared that nobody knew how to remove the pre-ordered food from the pre-paid tab. I would definitely go back there for an evening, as the place has a good atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly (albeit inadequately trained in the use of their till system). However, I would recommend that nobody leaves their card behind the bar! visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 27 Oct 2016

This is the 4th time I've attended rileys after the NFL international series, twice last year which were fab on both occasions. But both times this year have been a bit of a let down. The first time was after game 1 and we were stuck in the back room, with only the redzone in with THE GOLF on the other channel. They didn't have half of there menu because it was so busy and service was so slow some of our party were leaving before any of the food came, the second time our booking had been messed up and we had to remind them where we had booked and even that we had paid a deposit? They had the games on but again service was slow and some of the order didn't arrive. I like the atmosphere and some of the staff can be friendly, and they do offer better coverage of the NFL than any other bar in London. But need to speed up and crisp up on service at busy times visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 23 Oct 2016

Thoroughly disappointing, no pool tables ready, no cue balls, both tables very poor condition and not straight. Service awful and not polite in all honesty. No soccer Saturday on after many attempts to explain what it was. Broken TV facing the pool tables. Shambles in all honesty, bar man just refused to offer Tea and said it wasn't a five star hotel! Free comedy thrown in, not required. Can I take payment first before pouring shots and no beer available either at times, Disgusted - was much better as 'the sports bar' previously, I'd never go again. visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 15 Oct 2016

AVOID THE PLACE. I booked 3 tickets online for euro final 2016. I was charge 10 pounds a ticket + 1 administration fee as the Entrance price at the door was only 5 pounds. I had to have a word with the manager for obtain a free drink i was promise over the phone. For bar specialize in sports even, THE ACOUSTIC WAS HORRIBLE, commentators were inaudible. BAD CHOICE OF BEER, don't expect Calsberg, Heineken or 1664. Only Carling and stella at the tap. Coke from the tap was completely flat. Screen were normal projectors and non HD as suggested on website. For the good points, wifi, many screens, central location. All TOGETHER, FOR THE PRICE, I DO EXPECT BETTER

Booked a table for 3 for 7. 15pm for the clasico but we were not allocated till 7. 35pm which means we were allocated after the clasico started! We were given very good seating with excellent view of the match! Food was nice and given to us quite quickly. I ordered a Hot Fudge ice cream sundae and my friend ordered a Chocolate brownie, when we received it, the brownie had the smallest ice cream scoop ever and when I got my sundae I realised it was missing the chocolate drops, the flake and the hot fudge sauce so I told the waitress and she started to get extremely rude saying that the chef maybe just run out of them and I said that I should've been told because it's unfair I have to pay full price for half of the sundae and well she got angry and I told her to do something about it and all she did was leave and didn't do anything about! once we paid the bill she didn't even say thank you or bye! worst waitress service ever! booked a table for 8 for the chelsea vs Psg game. Was seated in the back room which is ace. However they had one waitress for the entire room which was not enough. It was easier to get up and go to the bar then wait for service. Food took an hr toarrive and was awful. We all ordered the mixed grill (£20) and being honest it wasn't worth more then £8-£10. bar the ribs (which were ace) everything else was over cooked and of the lowest quality.....will go there again for footy but will not eat there again Appleid77 visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 09 Mar 2016

Attended the Joshua fight this last sat night . Found the manager not very helpful had a booking of 13 people 1 guy didn't show and asked if they could take off 1 of the guests and replace the £20 I payed with a bar tab ... They flat out refused , then said just ask some 1 else to come , when I went out side to ask some1 to buy my ticket off me they said that wasn't aloud .... Then they told us to get there at 6pm and no later or we could be refused entry , turn up to an empty bar , and all the other groups of tables turned up at around 8....8-30 .... Now I see the whole reason for this was now just to get us in for them extra 2 hours so we could spend more money ... All in all very disappointed in the who set up of it ,when your paying £260 just to sit in a seat u want a bit of a better service than the one we got brooksy2050 visited Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket on 12 Dec 2015

Overall very pleased with our experience on Saturday 28th November. We reserved a table to watch the boxing and due to a mishap earlier in our evening we were running late and as it was not possible to contact the venue by the time we arrived 15 minutes late our table had been given away. We were very disappointed as we wouldn't have gone if we knew we were standing. Thankfully I spotted a reserved table that hadn't been given away and with super help from Ian we got our table and he transferred our full deposit to a bar tab. I also want to give thanks to Maria who was working behind the bar who did an amazing job!! The only reason I give 4 stars is because when we arrived the member of staff on the door was incredibly aggressive in the way he spoke to us, whilst I appreciate that he must come into contact with a lot of drunk and aggravated people it really puts a dampener on your evening when you are treated as if you are going to cause trouble from the moment you say hello! This venue is incredibly lucky to have staff like Ian and Maria who managed to transform the tone of our evening and consequently this review and any recommendations we will give in the future. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience, my worst in London ever. I´ve been there with a group of friends for the World Cup matches. We had a table booked for 6, for GBP150. The confirmation we received did not make it clear if it included consumption (minimum spending, as usual); for that, we asked the waitress TWICE if it did. She confirmed, although she had some difficulty to understand English. We tried to consume what was supposed to be already paid, and in the end they brought a GBP100 bill (for some nachos and awful drinks). We said it was paid, and the waitress disagreed. We asked for the manager, who came very arrogantly to us to ask if we were not going to pay. We said we consumed a lot as they said it was included in the GBP150, and he said he would take the appropriate measures to charge the bill. He left saying to be back shortly to continue the discussion, and did not come back. We waited for 1h, when another manager came. He said the best he could offer was a reduction from the GBP250 to GBP200. As we did not want to stay another hour waiting for what we considered the rightful outcome, we accepted and left, to never go back there again.

Just seen the below review from "Paul" and couldn't disagree more. This place is awesome and the best Riley's I've been too and the drinks are cheaper than most you will find in the West End. (guessing Paul doesn't get out much) Loved the fact it was busy but could still see numerous screens without peering over the crowds. Decent beer and awesome Burgers. Give it a go
