The Mint Gun Club is a tea room, neighbourhood cocktail bar and refuge in Stoke Newington which takes its inspiration from the exotic enchantment, elegance and convivial excitement of a pre-war European expatriate lifestyle - but bringing them right up to date with a lively and fun jolt.

Serving some of the most delicious cocktails in London, Rich and his team are inspired by the laissez-faire nature of aperitivo and expatriate culture. While away the afternoon sipping an array of loose-leaf tea, working or playing board games; or spend the evening enjoying aperitif, cocktails and delightful canapés as the world outside rushes by.

The main inspiration comes from a bright and slight tongue-in-cheek manner from pre-war apothecaries, expatriate residences and society clubs. The overall design ethos is refined but includes a jovial take on the ‘mode de vie’ of the cocktail, hokum, blues or jazz eras of the of the 20th Century. It fuses the sometime garish exoticism of Tiki and Pan Asiatic culture with the clean lines of art deco and 1960s design. Expect an eclectic soundtrack of etherial jazz, afro-blues, Balearic beats and roots reggae. 

Refined and homely, its features reflect the drinks menu including spashings of the colourful and tropical - cocktail names and motifs from Asia to the Subcontinent and the South Pacific or North Africa to the Caribbean. Bamboo cocktails served on bamboo worktops.
