The Box

Description

The Box is the London sister to the promiscuous NYC haunt, infamous for its theatre of varieties.

The bland wooden door entrance doesn't promise much and the bouncers drive a hard bargain guest list. But once inside you'll discover it's the Soho naughty version of the Narnia cupboard- revealing a fun London club transcending the concept of indecency inside. Their ban on mobile phones and cameras makes it even harder for you to prove to your mates about what you experienced inside.

Expect a large theatre with two stages and with meters upon meters of flowing red velvet, gold details and candlelight. The cabaret show starts at midnight from Wednesday to Saturday, with acts ranging from impressive fire-stunts to strip shows, burlesque and transsexual exhibitionism. Booking a table is advised, prices starting at £1,000 on a week-night, tripling on weekends. The less tantalizing dish at the Box might be the one on your plate, as food-wise they're keeping it simple with burgers and fries.

It's the ultimate fantasy backdrop where even London's bold royalties and celebrities nourish their erotic sides: Prince Harry, Emma Watson, Jude Law, trust fund heirs, fat cats, all dwell here. Celebrate the capital's debauchery at this Soho nightclub theatre... if you dare.
