Bar Soho has been a favourite Old Compton Street haunt for years and is a quirky and fun cocktail bar. Its bullseye-central location helps but it’s the lively atmosphere that always hits home.

A bustling venue of quirky interiors, the ever amped up party atmosphere is parallel to the off-kilter interiors. From bathtub and fairground ride loungers, to neon red hues, contemporary Victorian interiors and a dive bar inspired edge, Bar Soho is a unique venue in one of London's most unique areas.

Bar Soho is the place to experience the whirlwind of Soho from the eye of the storm. Inside you’ll find atmosphere that’s relaxed during the day and pumping at night. Enjoy the wild festivities on fairground themed seating inside this colourful and cool party bar. As the sun goes down there’s DJ nights 7 days a week which never fail to get the crowd in the mood. Outside the bar, the small row of tables that line the pavement is people-watching heaven.

Bar Soho London - DJ Bar Review

Bar Soho London - DJ Bar Review

When I told a friend I was going to Bar Soho, all she said was, “you’ll love it”. So with high expectations I headed down to see if it could live up to the hype. The Venue Walking into Bar Soho is like walking into a playground...

Wish I had read the reviews before going with my guests. Were lucky enough to find a table and told by staff it's ok to sit. Ordered drinks and a large sharing platter, midway of which we were asked to leave. The bouncer said that was because a group which had reserved the area and hadn't turned up, has arrived now. When we asked what about the food, he said eat it up fast and leave. However, he was back in less than a minute and told us we have to leave the table right away. Never mind we had paid for the food. Never experienced such a terrible and rude behaviour in any other place in London. And to think I took my guests there. Disgusting behaviour. They bring shame to Soho. I am giving one star only because there is no option to give zero.

Terrible bouncer except for 2, manager and head of security are useless and don't care. The inside does not look at all like a picture. I am putting one star for the location

The bouncers here are ones who decide whose face they like, who appears drunk despite having a reservation. About two months ago I was with a friend visiting from NY and had areservation at Bar Soho. When we approached the door, the bouncers said we cannot let you in and just like that turned us way.

I was not happy when I went to bar soho and was initially told that it was full inside. We agreed to wait for people for leave. When people left we asked if we could go in, the bouncer said that those people were going to the smoking area. Just to paint a picture the smoking area is on the left these people were walking to the right. We decided not to argue and continued to wait, the bouncer then said to us "your not likely to get in because it's full you are free to wait but that is your decision." we decided to continue to wait and more people came out and walked to the right on this occasion we made the bouncer aware these people went to the right and another bouncer approached us asking to speak with us outside of the queue. He explained it was bouncers discretion who they let in and the head bouncer has decided to not let us in. Firstly that is unacceptable that a bouncer can look at a group of people and decide who comes in or not by judging them on the way they look we were 3 guys and 4 girls well dressed and not intoxicated. We had left grace bar who had recommended going to that bar to finish off our night. Secondly, as out of order it was, the first bouncer should have just told us that they were not letting us in and not that it was full so we didn't waste our time waiting outside hoping we would get in. Overall I think that the bouncers should consider how they treat people and not base admission on if they like the look of the customers. In future I probably won't go there risking getting turned away

The bouncer told the door lady to charge my friend and me£10 which I thought seemed a bit steep, given it was still only 11 and I didnt remember paying that the times I had come before but we went in. I then saw that everyone else was paying £5, even an hour later, and we had been taken for a ride! We were completely sober and just 2 guys so can't even say we had it coming! Don't worry Bar Soho, you won't be seeing any of my money or my friend's money again :)

The drinks and service was good and I was quite happy with the drinks as they had a range to choose from all at reasonable prices. That is the only good thing I can say... The place is cramped and does not look like what it does online. The music wasn't great until 1am and even then it did not really flow. If you are to have a good time then you need to be tipsy or drunk. I won't be going back here for a while.

I ve been a customer for bar soho for at least 4 years but every year this place is getting worse and worse. Last night got almost kicked out on my birthday party ( where was aroud 30 people) by on of duty manager for trying to talk to a door man about how many people are still gona join me. the 'manager ' name Dan came towards me with bad behaviour, violent, unactetable towards woman. he doesnt wona listen what i have to say... called another fat security guy and when i was on my own they stopped me at the stairs and harrased me with police. i went outside and my husband called a general manager which he appoligize for his employee behaviour trying to explained him as he was very tired.... it makes me laught hearing that. on top of that the same security guy which kick me out started to lying on front of me that he asked me politely. joke joke joke. AVOID THAT PLACE... THERE IS A LOT OF DIFFERENT ONE NEXT DOOR WITH MUCH BETTER ATMOSPHERE. the last what u need on your birthday to be treated like that

The door staff last night were rude, aggressive and generally disruptive. They wouldn't let me in initially as I was on my own, and my friends had the same problem (all single girls). They aggressively searched bags and demanded ID, even after they had let you in! They moved our coats which weren't in the way and tried to put our handbags (which we had on the floor in the middle of our circle) in the cloakroom. They stalked around the bar all night and generally made us feel unwelcome. The reason for the 2 stars was that the music was better than average. I will not go here again and do not recommend it.

Nice atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks. I would definitely go here again. Not ideal for chatting as the music is quite loud and not many places to stand if you dont have a table.

It's not the campest bar on Old Compton street. Its mix of people, all having a good time and the DJ playing commercial tunes all added to the vibrant atmosphere of the bar. The doors were open allowing plenty of summer air to breeze through the bar as the bartenders razzle-dazzle with their cocktail shakers. The happy hour prices are great for London but the cocktails were a bit tall and with a tad too much juice for my taste. The Nachos were not very exciting either but it's still a nice friendly bar with catchy music and plenty of comfortable seating.

One of by go to bars in Soho. Really like the recent refurb, very quirky, Shoreditch like, great drink prices and well worth a visit.

This was our gathering point after each Saturday Acting Class. This place helped me get more acquintated with my fellow class mates, made us exchange lyrics, hopes and joys. All at the expense of reasonably priced shots and cocktails. The music was top chart, which is rather nice to enjoy every now and a then. Will look forward to my next performance at Soho Theatre, just so I can head down to Bar Soho with our gang and make room for some more memories.
