The Shoreditch bar and club, located on Shoreditch High Street, has a front row spot in East London’s bustling entertainment and cultural scene. It’s a chic DJ bar across two floors which has a pleasant lounge bar vibe early on, and develops into a full-frontal dance party, most days of the week. Cocktails are their speciality, with plenty to choose from and superb execution. The popular Happy Hour offers you two cocktails or four beers for a tenner, 2pm-10pm daily (9pm Saturdays).
The interior mixes exotic Tiki style with art deco glam; think pink flamingos, taxidermy tigers, pretty Chinese fans and lanterns spreading an atmospheric glow. The Shoreditch plays 70s disco, aka. “Yes Sir, I Can Boogie” which makes it a pleasant scene for meeting up with a date or a group of friends, especially if you’ve booked one of their booths. Around 11pm they switch to commercial music playing the biggest hits currently ruling the charts. Regular club and live music nights are held in the darker, edgier basement bar, which is also available for private hire.
If you’re looking for something sophisticated yet fun, classy yet crazy or simply astonishing cocktails, this is where to head for a night out in Shoreditch.
