Description

Shoreditch continues its reign as London's ping-pong powerhouse with the opening of brand new whiff whaff venue and entertainment haunt, SiNK. With table tennis becoming the new favourite bar game, SiNK have decided to mix it up and throw America's favourite drinking game beer pong into the mixer.

Wedged halfway between Liverpool Street and Old Street, SiNK have crafted 9 custom made tables across 2 floors to firmly establish themselves amongst the leaders in activity bars. UV Art of famous faces decorated by the hand of social artist Will Thompson adorns the walls alongside Shoreditch mainstay Mr Doodle. He also takes his frantic scrawlings to the first floor where you will find the recently refurbished function room which is perfect for hosting your own private pong soiree or even something a little more formal.

Pong action can be found throughout the week but SiNK is more than just activity bar. Weekly entertainment comes in the form of Open Mic nights, topical talks and even comedy nights. Once the weekend kicks in, take advantage of their late licence and get your dancing shoes on as their DJs take you into the small hours with a host of party classics.

Before going, you should call in advance and make sure there isn't a private booking for the top floor which has the main dance floor space. If there is, there's no point going here if you don't have a ping pong table booked downstairs. You'll be standing around in the narrow spaces between the tables and the bar. Apparently the upstairs room is "booked on most nights" quoting the woman who takes your money at the door. There's also no cloakroom here unless you want to hang your coat in an unsupervised rail upstairs. Couldn't get our entry fee back after 5 minutes being inside and realising it was booked upstairs.

A group of us went down to sink last Saturday! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Had a total blast! Definitely coming back, I recommend it to everyone :)

I had higher expectations. It was a good night however we paid for a bottomless package which consisted of two hours of bottomless drinks and burgers but the kitchen closed at 9pm. We arrived at 8pm so we obviously did not get what we had paid before and no one thought to tell me when I booked that I should come earlier due to the kitchen closing. Dirty, rude staff, toilets were absolutely disgusting and can only describe it as the worst site a have ever seen and I am still not sure how human could have done this. Paid £20 for a ping pong table for an hour which was in the middle of a walk way and where people were dancing so it was quite difficult to play. If I could give 0 stars I would, we will not return which is a shame, but I would not waste your money on this place. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-03-29

We had such a fun time, it was great! Drinks (that were not included in the beer pong) were incredibly expensive however. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-03-24

Had a great night but the staff were not very helpful in some instances, even though we had pre-ordered wine, they gave us only 1 bottle whilst waiting for a delivery, we waited half an hour as they said it would be very soon but instead of replacing the wine with prosecco which they had in the fridge they made us wait. The one bottle they gave us had the cork inside the bottle so we took it back and their response was 'but it's expensive' which is completely beside the point. Feel like the staff could have been much more helpful but good night overall. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-03-22

The players playing before us finished late and then we had to wait for our prepaid beers. We were asked to finish at the stated time so we ended up losing ten minutes because of the delay. Disappointed but did enjoy the time we had. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-03-03

Had a ping pong table booked for 10pm. After 40 minutes of been told it will be ready in ‘a few minutes’ I couldn’t wait any more and asked them to cancel the table and refund my money. I was told this was absolutely fine and apologised to. Manager took my name down and assured me he would sort the refund the next day. A week and 2 e mails later and I have seen no refund of any money, nor even a response to my e mails. If you go, expect to be left waiting for a table and wasting your own time chasing a refund if you ask for one.. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-24

Generally pleased with the experience at SINK, but due to the weather the kitchen was closed which meant that the 2 for 1 wings deal advertised was unavailable. Would probably return again. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-28

I was not impressed that our booking was moved 30 minutes. Furthermore, the cleaning staff was not informed that our beer pong playing time was moved by 30 minutes - so they tried to get us stop playing 30 minutes before our actual time ran out. Otherwise a great place. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-24

I booked at Sink Pong to relive some of my glory days at the beer pong table. While the facilities were adequate the execution was not. The areas where the beer pong tables were placed should have some barrier to the dance floor. I had to ask some drunken dancers to respect our pong space. I wouldn't book pong space here again at prime times, but perhaps on a quiet weekday evening. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-17

Wowcher: ''A bottomless cocktail brunch with games & DJ for two people at Sink Pong (was £58)'' The 'cocktails' were fruit juice topped up with warm cheap prosecco. The staff, I'm assuming were told to move at a snails pace in order to not serve to many drinks. We waited AGES for the food, and when it came it was cold. It felt like a rip off factory. The games??? What games?? Absolutely AWFUL.

We had a pleasant team-building night out with my colleagues on Tuesday 13th Feb. We had a group of 10 for 2 hours playing beer pong. I arrived 15 mins early to make sure our pre-ordered food was being prepared, and to grab some beers to ensure we were ready to go when our booking began. It was pretty quiet there, as we went on a Tuesday, but this meant the staff were attentive and helpful as they weren't that busy. The food came on time, however they forgot the nachos (and when i questioned this, they said the nachos "weren't that nice" today and that i should get something else) however this was taken off our final bill, so it was fine. We ordered some Mexican rice but this was put on our table with no cutlery or plates etc, which i found a bit odd. Besides that, our food was served hot and on time. The pricing was affordable for the hire and it's a great idea for a bar, but we were put in the upstairs section and there really wasn't much of an atmosphere. I think maybe you should put the people who arrive first upstairs to create a busy atmosphere up there, as the downstairs level is always going to get busy? Then both floors have a good atmosphere. I enjoyed my time there - and was happy that the guys let me change my game to beer pong instead of ping pong as my party weren't too excited about the ping pong! They were really helpful. But yeah, just a shame about the atmopshere. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-10

I attended Saturday the 10th for my boyfriends birthday, as I turned up it was very busy and I was unable to approach staff to let them know we had arrived. Once I informed staff we arrived they tried to squeeze a beer pong table in the corner of the downstairs room. However I informed them that I hadn’t booked beer pong and I actually booked ping pong. Unfortunately it wasn’t properly sorted. I was very disipointed and stressed at this point however the staff here went out of there way to make sure they made up for this. We were taken upstairs to your private room and the night was amazing we originally booked ping pong for 1 hour however we stayed for another hour or so and continued with beer pong which were we were allowed to do. It was my boyfriends birthday and I asked if you could do anything for him we were given a birthday shot and a candle which was a nice touch. I cannot thank your friendly team enough, it was a lovely area and I am very pleased we had the opportunity to experience this. I did feel that your downstairs area was too busy for the beer pong and ping pong so potentially keeping track of how many people you could fit downstairs could have been monitored better. However I am very pleased we were able to make use of the facilities upstairs. Thank you all very much for a great evening and instantly overcoming the booking error. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you :-) Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-10

Very cramped - beer pong tables were set up immediately adjacent to other tables, in a busy bar, so quite tricky. No itemised bill available from the bar, so couldn't see if the deposit had been removed. World's most expensive miniature burger platter. Toilets were a disgrace. Good atmosphere and lively. Awful. Took 20 minutes to get table even though it was booked, and they just got a ropey fold out table from the back and threw it in the middle of the dance floor rather than giving one of the proper tables. Tried to complain but all manager cared about was getting paid. One to avoid. Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2018-02-09

The advertisement for bottomless is deceiving. It does not specify that you can only have prosecco cocktails and one choice of beer. We were not offered anything else. As for unlimited burgers, you are actually limited to three per person. I feel having paid £35 per person for a large group of people, we did not get our money's worth. Staff and managers were excellent and did their very best to make out night enjoyable! And they did! One minor thing that I think should be done is when you have a table booked they should have someone that shows you to your table when you arrive but you have to go to the bar to ask for a manager to then try sort it out Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2017-12-15

Our night was great up until we got to your place. The security personnel and the lady at the door were extremely rude and aggressive with everyone and especially with my girlfriend. We were there to celebrate the birthday of a friend and the behaviour of the stuff ruined the mood for a good hour. On top of that there was this security guy who spent most of the night walking around the upper room staring at every single person in the room like a Jail Guard. When he was not doing this he was leaning against the wall 3 meters away from our table monitoring the room and our group. He was staring at everyone in such a serious and aggressive way. It is not easy to have fun and relax when you have this guy constantly on you with the attitude of someone ready to kick your face at the very first wrong move. I'll definitely NEVER come back again, and give the same suggestion to all my friends and collegues. Really sorry it went this way Visited SINK - Paul Street on 2017-11-11
