A tequila and mescal cocktail bar, drenched in rays of golden light, Gold Step is aimed at those seeking out the good times, as well as those who want to explore tequila options beyond shots and margaritas. 

The colour palette, textures, plants and an installation of televisions blinkering with Mexican films and commercials from the 70s and 80s capture an ambiance of cool Mexicana throughout the space.  

The bar is a shrine to agave-based spirits, offering broad selection of artisan tequilas and mescals, with a menu that showcases 40 rarities alongside a sharp selection of cocktails.

Those looking to taste and experiment can savour shots that vary in price from £5 to £50 including rare and refined options like Grand Maya Ultra Anejo; a double distilled, slow cooked tequila aged more than 3 years in American and French oak barrels or a selection of renowned artisan products like Dona Celia Blanco, El Destilado Bicuixe Madrecuixe.

The Cocktail Experience
Head Mixologist Louis Chavin wants to introduce customers to different ways of drinking these spirits. The full Gold Step experience is a table service option and is an intimate and interactive off-menu experience.

“I learned mixology in the best cocktail bars in Paris, and Tequila and Mescals have always been my go-to spirits. They’re incredibly versatile as a base for a cocktail. and a real treat to drink straight up. All the varieties of agave plants used, the tools used and distillation process gives it a different makeup of congeners than other alcohols.
