We booked a table arrived and still have to pay entry which is just weird, been all over the world getting tables and never had to pay entry on top. So we arrived said we had a table paid entry and no one took us to our table, we just aimlessly walked around being sent from one person to another. Finally managed to find a helpful bar woman who then proceeded to take drinks orders at the bar rather than taking us to our table first. Table was tiny the size of a stool you would sit on, the alcohol tatsted cheap and the mixers were warm. The music was great without that would've have been a terrible night, smoking area was also very good with seating available. All in all I don't think I would return, the decor was awful, they are going for a rustic vibe but for the prices you pay you would think it would be slightly better, other than the music the place is overhyped and pretty standard. Cargo could be a great place if the so called 'management' werent complete liars. I was told one thing over the phone and when we got there i was a complete lie. Spoke to the 'manager' and he basically told us we had to pay more or leave. I had already paid £200 for a table and drinks. Waste of time going. Money wasted. All staff including security are rude and i even got shoved out the way many times by staff. Security even went and took everyones personal belongings and shoved them on floor and the seat where my table was so i constantly had people throwing stuff around trying to find their things. Which meant there was constant drinks being spilt all over us and no one could find their belongings. I wouldnt even give it 1 star. But this reveiw makes you put one in order to make them look better! Visited Cargo on 2018-03-03

Went for a Rugby sporting event - there was a total of 4 people in there and now I know why... It smelt, so so bad. Staff were rude (besides the bouncer) I paid £38 for 5 shots - seriously!? Terrible atmosphere. The sporting event was illegally being shown and kept stopping every 5 minutes. Absolutely awful - will NOT BE returning. Visited Cargo on 2018-03-17

To Whom it may concern, I am just writing to express my disappointment from my booking that I had on the 17th of March at Cargo. I paid £150 as a deposit so I could have an area reserved for the 6 nations last Saturday. Firstly speaking to a number of your colleagues on the phone prior to arriving. I asked what attendance at the event would be like. I was told that over 80 tickets were sold. This was a lie because there was only my table, made up of about 15 people and a group of 5 behind me. I understand you are sales reps and have to build up an event but this was over the top! It was almost embarrassing welcoming my friends here. Secondly and more importantly the quality of the rugby showing. As mentioned above I came to Cargo to watch the final round of the 6 nations. If I am paying £150 I expect to be able to watch it the games uninterrupted. This was not the case on Saturday. Nemours times the games were interrupted. It turned out that the game was being streamed over the internet. It got so bad that the final 5 minutes was missed! Please see the photo below that shows what I mean! As I said if I am paying over £150 for an event (i know it was used against drinks but I could have got these at any venue!) I expect a level of standard. If I wanted to watch the game in a quiet room over the internet I should have just streamed it myself in my house. We left the Venue after the England vs Ireland and had to go to a different place to watch the final game. totally removing the point of my paying to reserve an area for the day. I hope you can see the justifications in my points above and I look forward to hearing your response. I believe I am entitled to some form of refund due to the unexceptional experience I received on the 17th of March. Regards Visited Cargo on 2018-03-17

Awful. We spent £100 on a table and were put in a side room with zero people and even less atomosphere (no one told us in advance that we wouldn’t be in the main club). The drink prices would make you think you’re in Chelsea not Shoreditch. One attraction you will get to experience is London Most Expensive Cloakroom! £3 per item. Half way through the evening I tried to retrieve my friends scarf and gloves from a bag I had checked in earlier and was told, if I removed said items I would not be allowed to check the bag back in (although this is written no where). He eventually said I could return the bag for a further £3...! Complete con. Visited Cargo on 2018-03-02

My experience at Cargo on 23/02/18 was generally very good. We were well received by security, and the hospitality lady who showed me to the table and brought the drinks over was very professional and polite. The table area in ‘Arch Two’ was adequate for the cost, however the ease of access to those who do not have a base table is a little overwhelming, i.e. from two sets of stairs east and west, which created too much traffic flow when you’re trying to enjoy yourself. Drinks prices were reasonable, table service attentive and the music variety was excellent, so all in all it was a very good night. The reason I didn’t give Cargo five stars was due to the cloakroom situation. The queue is outside which is fair enough, but the lack of attendants at the end distributing jackets back, plus the lack of security helping to keep order amongst drunken revellers is a major concern. A fight almost broke out as people are jumping the queue to retrieve their item, simply because the queue is rowdy, far too long and not enough cloakroom attendants available. Please sort this out Cargo!! Visited Cargo on 2018-02-23

I've been to Cargo 3 times, I've even organised my birthday and my boyfriend's birthday here. The prices are adequate, the dancing areas are just as you would imagine a great night dancing between lights and a happy mood. The music is great..for most of the people. My preferences would be a lot less commercial but hey, it's a night out, I can hear my own playlist every day. Good job guys! See you soon. Visited Cargo on 2018-02-17

As always the music was good! My friends and I had a table for 7 of us which seemed good value for money at £200 with drinks, however we were not.told that the tabke would be removed at 11! My experience was terrible... the bouncers were rude! So I was there for New Year’s Eve, ordered a bottle of champagne with out being advised by the bar tender how much it was... when she showed me the receipt, it was 241 pounds. I then said woah, I didn’t know it was that much! I don’t want it... the bouncers were right behind me and asked what was wrong, “I said she just charged me 241 pounds for a bottle without me knowing the price!”... he then said “okay, you’re done” grabbed me by the neck and forced me out... as you can imagine I was angry! Because they never gave me the bottle that I PAID for! For 241 pounds... so if you are a manager, from cargo... please contact me to try and get a refund, I will dispute the charge from my bank. You can review the security tape, I was not being rude... my reaction to the charge was probably a “shock” of the price. My number is 07462370333... I hope to hear from management. Thank you! Will keep this simple. I had arranged VIP area with a table and drinks before hand as the night was for my birthday so have already paid the club before attending that evening. When entering the club I was told everyone in my party had to pay £15 entry. This was a shock as I have never paid entry to a club that I was getting a table in and wasn’t told about this at time of booking. Now we are in I am left waiting for someone to see me and my party to our appointed area for the night. Still waiting and no ones to be seen. So I have to go and ask around to where I need to be ( not very VIP). Once I located the correct person to show me to the table it then turns out the table isn’t ready as it’s located in a room which wasn’t open at specific time. So now we have to wait for the room to open only about 15 mins. Once appointed to our area he night started to get better. The area was pretty cool as it was based on a stage infront of the entire room. There was a table at the front of the stage which we were told not to put drinks on. It’s a table. It’s for putting things on. Little did we know it was a dancer to dance on later on in the night. This was annoying and was not told about this. The bouncer in our area was just miserable. Overall we had a good fun night. Music - Great Atmosphere- Great Staff - terrible Zero understanding of customer service Visited Cargo on 2017-12-23

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Our table that we had booked was right in front of the dj booth and right on the dance floor. When we arrived there was a person being sick in the corner, two feet from our table and one of the security guards was in the dj booth eating something out of a takeaway box. We had a £100 bar tab which got 7 of us 1 drink and 6 of us a shot. The bar maid tried to overcharge us for the extra shot we wanted, thinking (wrongly) that we would be too drunk to notice. We paid £3 each to put our coats in the clock room which was a massive waste of money because after drinking our drinks and seeing if the rest of the club was any better (it wasn’t) we decided to go elsewhere. Awful, awful place and horrendous service. Definitely not value for money and we won’t be returning or recommending to anyone. Visited Cargo on 2017-12-15

We booked a table earlier in the week which gave us queue jump into the venue however it took 40 minutes due to the event staff not being around. Once in there, nobody took us to our table that we have paid for which took another 10 minutes for somebody to find for us. The drinks were very expensive and £20 minimum spend on card seemed excessive. Music and atmosphere were good when inside but overall service was dissapointing. Visited Cargo on 2017-11-18

The "manager" for letting us into the club was extremely rude and disrespectful. They left my party waiting outside in the cold for thirty minutes - although we had a table booked. Once they finally came and brought us into the queue the manager was extremely threatening and aggressive, yelling multiple times at both myself and other members of my party, even though we all had tickets, and were ready with our ID cards. They claimed that we were being rude because we questioned why they were only letting 13 out of my 26 guests in (I booked the table for 26 and paid for 26 people). After the manager continued to threaten me, which is extremely disrespectful considering he was a man most likely in his late 40s and I am a 19 year old girl, they let my party in, after I had to tell three of my guests they weren't allowed in with us. The only reason I am giving Cargo one star is because the waitress/bartender who attended our table was extremely nice and pleasant to deal with. Cargo your manager for tables was a disaster and after having paid nearly 300 pounds to get into your club, I wasn't even allowed to bring all my party members who I paid for. NEVER book a table here unless you are willing to be ripped off, and absolutely berated for no reason by the manager - frankly he should be fired and I should be refunded. Visited Cargo on 2017-11-18

Absolutely disgusting. I'd rather be in a crack den than here. This place has made me thought of ending it all. Pls don't go here. It is honestly the worst. The bouncers couldn't protect me against a girl that was 5 foot. They refused. They don't care about you. They all love to 'love each othet ". They don't care. They'll let you die on the street. They hate everyone who goes in there. Don't ever come here. This was honestly the worst night of my life they threatened me and everything.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your response. I arrived at Cargo and whilst I was awaiting to be shown to my table, I was asked for proof of what I had booked which was fine, so I showed the hostess of the table my email to be then told that I had in fact only booked and paid for 1 Martel bottle and 2 prosecco’s. I proceeded to show our trail of emails and my confirmation email stated £170= 1 Martel 2 proseccos however I paid £250 (£80 was for the extra bottle). The woman then continued to say I had not paid for the extra bottle when I had the total of 250£ on my invoice, she then asked for the assistance of another lady behind the bar who said to me “can I not see 2 prosecco and 1 Martel on my email” I then explained I had paid an extra £80 for another bottle. She then said “do you know what just give it to her”. I think considering that is what I have paid for and was assured by yourself that everyone working on the night was informed of what I had booked, it is outrageous. I have never experienced that sort of attitude to something I have paid for. When I was then shown to my table there was a man sitting at it who claimed it was his table and he had paid for it, where were security at this point? This man (dressed with a skeleton face) then started to poke my friend and shout at her because he was unable to find his jacket that he had left at my table before I got there if you don’t mind. He was then a nuisance the entire night, he continued to come over and complete hand gestures to the 3 girls I had on my tables face. To my astonishment a security guard then came over to say it was out of order what happened to his jacket, I stress to you to speak with your security who was oblivious to this man harassing my table the entire night and then listen to what this drunken had to say and have the audacity to come over to us and speak to us in that way. I will await your response before writing a review, I work in customer service myself and hate people who complain as they have nothing better to do, however I feel it necessary to take time out to write this as I have never been treated this way nor had an experience like this at a club where I have paid money to have a nice time. I hope you take this seriously in order to avoid this happening again in the future. Regards, Demi Collins ^ this email got no response, no surprise there. To me this is one of the underrated clubs in London. It was a fantastic night out on a Friday, cloakroom was fairly priced but the music was fantastic. DJ played a great range of music and there were never dull moments, and there were 2 rooms both full of good music for us to choose from. Would definitely recommend this!

We payed £500 for a VIP booth which I was told I could use from 10pm till close. When we arrived at 10:30pm we were told we couldn’t use our table until 11pm. When we finally did get our table we were man handled by a security guard who proved himself to be unstable and aggresive as the night went on, shouting and swearing at us, shining torches into our eyes, he also smelt strongly of alcohol. After around 2 hours of being at the club a lady promoter put another table of men into the vip area, she rudely told us to move up for them and when we refused she proceeded to tell the men that they could kick us out of the VIP area because they had paid more than our £500, luckily they replied no. Is this how you treat ‘VIP’ customers? Also when I booked this a few weeks in advance I was told spirits were £150 a bottle only to be told on the night that they are in fact £175 meaning our remaining £300 tab could only buy us one bottle of spirit. We enjoyed the music and the alcohol but honestly you really need to sort out your staff ESPECIALLY your security. The girl who was looking after our table was very nice though. The queuing was a bit manic with no order. There didn't seem to be much recognition that packages had been booked in advance. I had a fab night! Music was awesome. Couple of small issues which I think are worth mentioning - people kept coming into the space that I had booked, this was very annoying and they kept arguing with us when asked politely to move. Although security did help when approached I would have hoped that it was made clear with a sign or wrist bands I do understand Cargo are not to blame for this but Im sure something could be done. I noticed some of the staff did not have their happy faces on! Slightly grumpy when asked questions which is a little upsetting considering the amount of money that we were about to spend. Toilets were absolutely revolting, from the moment we arrived at 10pm before it even got busy! Floor inside every single cubicle was wet - my skirt was covered in whatever that was, YUCK! Toilet queues were about a 20minute wait and people were peeking over the doors to check if someone was in the cubicles. I do not like people to watch me pee!!!! Overall I have to say me and all my friends had an amazing night - I look forward to visiting again, most issues were not caused by cargo but I'm sure they could work to have them improved. Not being able to take your handbag on to the dance floor and being forced to check it at coat check is ridiculous! Minimum 20 pound spend at the bar! The music was awful - Grime, though that's down to personal taste. Honestly would not recommend this place. I will not be returning.

My experience on Saturday evening was the worst experience I have ever had with a club. For weeks I had been planning my 21st and decided to book Cargo, having just moved to London I thought it looked like a great place to go - I couldn't have been more wrong. As I am from Scotland I had friends travelling from all over that I haven't seen in ages to celebrate with me, spending a lot of money to get here. To make it special for my 21st I booked both the silver and bronze birthday packages and had been looking forward to it for weeks. On arrival at the club I could see already how rude and disrespectful the security staff were, screaming and swearing at customers as though they were animals. I had previously requested for all 15 of us to be on the guest list and so was under the impression that we didn't have to be in the normal queue, however I was rudely told by a female that this was not the case. My friends were all allowed in but I was refused entry. Of course I had a few drinks prior to going to the club, I was celebrating one of the biggest birthdays, however I was no more intoxicated than my friends who were allowed in with no questions asked. I was then told by the manager that I could finally enter, however after tripping over my foot with 6inch heels on, he changed his mind?? I would love to know who doesn't wobble in 6 inch heels even when sober. As you can imagine I was extremely upset but continued to be shouted and sworn at by the security guards, they were the absolute worst security guards I have ever met. My friends got into the club and tried to sit at the booth I had booked for us, however they were told it had been given to someone else and they weren't allowed the £150 worth of alcohol that I had bought for the night. Totally disgusted, my friends left and we went onto a club round the corner where I had absolutely no problem getting in and getting served alcohol all night? It doesn't make sense to me. My 21st birthday has been ruined and what was supposed to be a night of great memories was in fact the complete opposite and one I would rather forget. I would understand if I was causing trouble, I couldn't walk, I was being sick etc, however I was none of these, but instead a girl who was so excited for the night ahead. I would hope that a full £150 refund will be given to me for the booth that nobody was allowed to sit in and the alcohol that nobody was allowed to drink. I will never be back again and will urge others to not go unless they want to be treated with disrespect and ignorance. Kind regards, Alex Rea Visited Cargo on 2017-10-21

I recently booked a table at Cargo to celebrate my birthday. When I called to confirm my booking, I asked how the 250 pound deposit would work. I was told that we would have a table number that we would give to the bar every time someone ordered a drink or food, they would pay and the money would be taken off the 250 pounds, which by the end of the night, however much amount was spent from those 250 would be refunded to me. On the actual night when I arrived with my guests I was told this was not the case and that the 250 opened a tab where we could just get drinks until the 250 was met. When I let them know that this was not the information given to me, the lady behind the bar called a manager. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful, told me there was nothing he could do as I did not have this in writing and I could be making it up. He did not try in any way to find a solution and I was treated as though I was a liar and a nuisance. To be clear we were not asking for free handouts, but asking for the deal to be held as was first agreed. He told me that the solution was for me to go and ask each of my guests to give me 10 pounds so I could make up the deposit. This was an extremely unprofessional and unhelpful way to handle the matter and we were made to feel as though he was doing us a favor having my party in the club. This behavior is inexcusable and to be frank gives an extremely bad image to the club. We were regular guests to Cargo but after this horrible event I do not believe any of us will be visiting again. I was not asking to drink for free or party for free, I was asking for the initial agreement that I made to be upheld. The fact that this is not the clubs usual policy is not my fault or concern as this is what I was told on the phone when I asked. Maybe they need to consider training their staff better on the policies of the club and how it works. This was meant to be a night of celebration and fun and it was absolutely ruined by a very rude and unapologetic manager who absolutely refused to try and find a solution, insinuated that I was a liar and just walked off without finding any way to help. I am extremely disappointed with the events on that night and appalled by the managers behavior. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Visited Cargo on 2017-10-06

If I could give negative stars, I would. Absolute worst experience from an establishment to date. Not sure where to begin with everything wrong with this place. Why this place has a phone I will never know because no-one ever picks up. I wanted to change my booking and was told to call back. Calling back later and eventually getting through they said they couldn't put me through to the manager??! I spent a lot of money on a table package! I arrived with a group of people and was embarrassed to have them stood around like lemons waiting for someone to show us our table. We were eventually greeted by rude, unhelpful and completely unorganized staff. Will categorically never book anything here again! Visited Cargo on 2017-10-14

Amazing night amazing venue! Our drinks package was really good value and the music was great! Shame our table was in the quiet section to start with, and ordering food was a bit of a confusion. Thought it made more sense to deliver to our table rather than us going and collecting it from the bar every 10 minutes and it not being ready. Other than that, brilliant night to celebrate my 21st! Thank you! Visited Cargo on 2017-10-14

I am absolutely applauded and upset at the security staff at entry. They behave like the world spins around them. They are selective on who they let in and wouldnt let you in even if you were nice to them or dressed accordingly. I understand they have a hectic role, dealing with drunks and drug fueled people but that doesnt mean treat everyone like they're givin u a hard time. I even said hello and asked how they were doing and still got refused entry. One day these security guards are going to pick on the wrong Joe and have suttin come their way if they carry on behaving like they're security guards for Mayweather. Change your staff Cargo.

Awful. Kicked out for no reason. Punched in face and Assaulted on the dance floor , did not react at all, and then removed by head bouncer. Completely over aggressive , ripped my t shirt and left me with injured shoulder putting me out of work. Repeatedly asked me why I was resisting despite being totally cooperative. Little man syndrome getting a kick out of grabbing people up. Next time I may not be so cooperative and he'll be left on the floor. Regards Visited Cargo on 2017-10-07

It went wrong from the moment we got there, I was assured that the payment I made would secure the whole VIP area in arch 3, we had to share the area with another group, half of my guests had to stay outside the VIP section because of the limited space, massively disappointed with the night and level of service on every aspect of this booking, will not be booking again, guests had trouble getting in because they were not put on guest list even thoughI was assured that this would not be the case. Don’t even want to give it 1 star... It was quite possibly the worst example of a VIP experience I have ever had. We booked a VIP table for 11 people at a cost of £50 per head. When we arrived, we were left waiting in a corridor for at least 20 mins while the one VIP waitress that was working tried to sort out another table. When she finally showed us to our area it was already packed, and the waitress told us that she had told the lady who books vip that she has booked too many groups and that it was unsafe for us all to be in there. But no one had listened. After about 30 minutes I was pulled to the side and told by one of the staff that we had to move off our table, because the other group paid more than us. We were then told our new table was outside. You can make 11 girls be on a table outside in October. They finally eventually found us a table inside, but this was only after we demanded our money back and stood out in the cold for 20 minutes. And after the bride to be was crying as we were being treated so badly. To top all this off many (not all!) of the staff were rude and hostile and generally made us feel unwelcome and upset. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a club, never mind paying £500 for the privilege. Awful awful awful Visited Cargo on 2017-10-07

Went there for my birthday on a Friday night, booked a table for 10 people, they had a policy of 50/50 male and female, I had more female guests so I phoned them beforehand and asked and they said it was okay as more females are better. We had prebooked our tickets so when we got there we had no problem. We were 1 minute late but we were in the queue and the girls checking were nice and they let us in no problem. The girl showed us to our table and got our drinks ready. The only thing is their 'no glass policy' it just makes all the drinks look cheap but overall We had an awesome night!! Definitely will be going back there again. Visited Cargo on 2017-09-01

It was so trashy in Cargo on Sunday night. I had booked an area and asked if it was near the Defined Djs stage (was told it was) which was the music we wanted to hear. We were out on the terrace right next to the RnB room (Boom night). The clientele were so incredibly trashy, the tables were all covered in rubbish and full ashtrays and a girl was being sick on the terrace. Even though we had booked, this wasn't cleared away (we had to do it). The toilets were a mess and there was a lot of drug-taking going on in there. I wish we hadn't come at all. Fun music but not at all well run. Went as a group of 11 and paid a deposit for a table which should have turned into a tab. Totally shambolic and disorganised, no one seemed to know what was going on, and more money billed to my card. The "street food" advertised was just a variety of burgers that came an hour and a half late and were lukewarm. Fine to have a late night dance there but not much else. Visited Cargo on 2017-07-14

It's a good club. We stayed in the R&B/Hip-Hop room all night and the music selection was dope. However, the venue gets so packed that if we hadn't booked a table we would have been wrestling with people all night. And there are way more guys there than females which gets a bit annoying. Also you have to spend a minimum of £20 if you want to use your card which is absolutely bogus Visited Cargo on 2016-07-30

I came here Friday night for my birthday and have got to say we were having a great night until my friend got man handled and had 3 bouncers who sat on her she now has a bruise up her back and on her arm and it was all caused because she put a silly hat on that someone had left on the table!! She was having a joke then a bouncer decided he wanted to be macho man because she had a drink and was being a bit silly nothing really bad just having a laugh!! It was absolutely disgusting what was worse there were people doing drugs in the toilet all night but the ones that got thrown out was the people who were respecting the club and just having a good time!!!!! In summary, we were treated like scum by bartenders, extorted for cheap and disgusting booze, bullied by the bouncers in the VIP area and the DJ was horrible. We paid a lot of money for a VIP table at Cargo. We were charged an additional £15 entrance per person on top of the money we had to fork out for a table. When we arrived we were told that our table was not ready and were left to stand around waiting for half an hour. After asking multiple times, we were eventually ushered off by a very rude attendant to our table- the area was empty and there was nothing prepared that justified us waiting around. The more reasonably priced Jameson whisky which was advertised was 'out of stock' and they expected us to pay the same price (£175) for a cheap no name brand whisky which probably cost £20 at Aldi. Our other option was Johnny Walker Black Label which was almost double the price. The bartender was extremely rude to us after showing our frustration with the situation. We were told that we can 'fuck off' if we didn't like what we were getting. Then, every time we came back to the VIP area, the bouncer would basically man handle us to prove we had a VIP wristband. We felt bullied by him all night - shining his torch into our eyes as we arrived in the VIP area, Standing in our personal space and pushing us around when he needed to walk somewhere. All in all, if you want to go somewhere to listen to a shitty DJ with a playlist, get treated as if you were a criminal, pay exorbitant prices for shitty booze and get bullied around by Testosterone filled bounders - this is the place to be. Otherwise, seriously stay away! Visited Cargo on 2017-05-06

Also in the guest list it says we will pay15£ they asked for 20... I am very unhappy with the conditions of the guest list it's written something and then they do whatever they want. Was at Cargo on a Friday night for my birthday... Overall the night was great particularly because the music was SO good - we just the danced the night away! Unfortunately though - I'd paid £100 to reserve an area and hour or so after we'd been there security (quite aggressively) told us to move because the area was 'reserved' and it took far too long for them to grasp the fact that yes WE had reserved it. Money doesn't go too far at Cargo either - drinks are really expensive. The wine we ordered tasted so bad too so I'd give that a miss. But yea if you're looking to go out to dance I'd definitely recommend - just not for a bigger special occasion. Visited Cargo on 2017-02-03

First of all it was me and my friends 25th birthday, Rang the club a few times to discuss the table deals and guest list deals etc, Was told to do everything online The women over the phone 'Rachael" was not helpful at all, i did mention to her i am bringing 30+ people to the cub she was not interested and refer me back to the website. On our visit we joined the guest list que to which i was told none of us was on the guest list when clearly i had a reference number to show the lady, but the lady was so rude she did not even want to listen, anyway joined the other que and then was told to talk to the head doorman for no apparent reason. The guy just showed us his power talking to us like he is the king and telling us to shut up if we reply to him. Walk in to the cub again security was in our face when we was at our table with all of our friends having a good time. As the night went on we went to the bar to get drink next thing i know we got grabbed by the security and got kicked out?...I still do not understand why that was, I have worked in a club my self before and i understand everything but i asked the doorman to give me a reason and there was no answer....After spending money on a table and bringing 30+ to the club and spending money on the over priced drinks at the bar we get treated like that?...but i guess everything is a lesson .....WILL NEVER EVER BE VISITING AGAIN...The venue is a good spot to be...but the staff 0/10 service...I get better service in a chicken shop...Rude people who think they have a bit of power. .... My experience this time around in Cargo was good in terms of a great table location and the music being completely on point. However this time around, i had more negative experiences than positive. I booked a table with the £100 birthday package and on arrival the staff were rude and very uninviting. I would understand if we were drunk and disorderly, but everyone was sober and bouncers were completely rude with no smiles or no welcoming comments, body language etc. When asking about the entry price, one of the staff looked at me and my friends and quoted me £20....it seemed like the door staff were trained to assess peoples appearances to see what they can afford. We felt like we was judged on our outfits and how rich or poor we looked before the price was given. To make things worse, when queuing...i was then quoted a price of £10??? and then when i got to the bouncer to be searched, i was quoted £15??? and then 3 people went on their radios, whispering to each other like they were in high school to figure out how much we should pay for entry? Maybe the reputation Cargo have for being a great club has turned everyone into being Conceited? Later that evening, i went to the bar and ordered 2 white wines, 1 red wine and 4 Tequila shots and in total that cost me £95....well, it should of cost me £95. When i got the bill, i initially gave the bar tender £30 by cash and went to pay the rest by credit card. My mistake for not actually checking the amount but the bar tender charged me £75, instead of £65. DOUBLE CHECK THE AMOUNT BEFORE PAYING! After working out what the total amount should have been, the bar tender was not interested. The manager got involved and she handled the situation really really well...I did not get my £10 back but was offered some free shots. The staff in the bar outside were so rude and did not listen to anything. Also, bottle prices? £180 for a Russian Standard Vodka, really?! £250 for a bottle of Whisky/Brandy, really?! Overall, not a bad night. But certain people can really put a downer on the evening with rudeness. Thanks Visited Cargo on 2017-01-20

It was my 20th birthday weekend so i booked a table with a birthday package. When i arrived, there was no assistance as to where we had to go to actually get the table i had booked. We finally got to speak to bar staff and it took 30 minutes for the staff to get the drinks prepared and finally get to our table. The table was ok. But because there was no 'reserve' notice, one person had to always stay at the table to ensure it wouldn't be used by anyone else. This was quite frustrating throughout the night. I booked the table from 10:30- end. but the table was removed at about 1pm. Drinks way too expensive. However the music was really good. Visited Cargo on 2016-12-17

It was a brilliant night, I always have the best nights in cargo, HOWEVER we bought tickets online beforehand as they were cheaper and therefore had to arrive by 11pm to allow entry with them.. We arrived 3 mins past 11 but was told that we had to buy new entry tickets that were more expensive at the door now because its past 11'oclock. We had booked a table for 5 people as well. I think that 3 mins should not be such a big deal especially if a table is booked. I also think the drinks and entry is quite pricey compared to other clubs. Apart from that I would still recommend cargo for a good night out. Visited Cargo on 2016-11-19

Horrific. Treated like scum on the door. Some blonde girl came over shouting her head off saying it's £20 or leave! Then disappeared back to the door to let in the people from the other queue. Despite having paid £200 for a table/booth and been told of a £15 entry we were forced to pay £20 and when we tried to complain or speak to a manager, we were just left standing in the queue whilst nobody came to speak to us-despite us seeing the manager speaking to other door staff and blatantly ignoring us. Next came us not being allowed entry because I didn't have the correct bank card that I booked with, despite having my id AND a different bank card with all same details-apparently this wasn't sufficient evidence that I was who I said I wasand what angered us most was when my friend bought the correct card, we were allowed in without anybody on the door even ASKING to see it. So we were made to wait 30 minutes for absolutely nothing. Eventually we were allowed through-and (after asking) were eventually led through to our area. Booked for 20 people so we could have enough space but there was barely room for 10 people with a big post bang in the middle which we had to dance around. We were promised waitress service which never happened meaning we had to fight through people to get to the bar. It was quite clear to us that as soon as cargo had their money from us i.e the £200 non-refundable deposit, they couldn't care less about our night. I am never going back and will be using my job as a london taxi driver to steer others well clear of this place. An absolute joke of a club and a complete disgrace. Horrible horrible horrible. I was disgusted by the treatment of myself and the guests I took here for my birthday. We were told to arrive before 12 but were not told that tickets would not work before 11 until we arrived at the club. This deeply affected the night and the staff were very unsympathetic. One of the guests then had a problem with cloakroom and the man at the cloakroom was patronising and unfriendly, proceeding to be intimidating and threatening instead of diffusing an issue that could of been resolved in minutes. I will not be returning to this club and have warned many of my peers of this issue. I will take this further and I hope this club is boycotted and is shut down very soon as many club goers that night were treated in the same vile way. Visited Cargo on 2016-10-29

Please note all my guests had to pay £20 & £25.00 entrance and they arrived not long after the booking time, which was disappointing. Also it was overly packed with no room to move...... Have been several times, but not experienced this overcrowded before, and bathroom facilities were very poor for both Men and ladies. Visited Cargo on 2016-10-22

I had problem at the entrance, I have been told by email that there is free entrance before 10 pm on Friday, but they asked from me and my guests that arrived before 10 pm to pay entrance fee. I had to explain and prove it by email to several people (some of them was rude) that works there and each time one of my friend arrived to the entrance! I hope there is a miss understanding between the stuff and policy of Cargo and you are not treating people who come to celebrate their birthdays there like this! Visited Cargo on 2016-10-21

Unfortunately I have to say that this is the last time I book a table at Cargo, Shoredich, or that I go there to dance. I booked a table for 20 people and my guests and I were squeezed in a corner which can barely fit 10 people, I have ordered and paid 100£ in drinks and I don't know what wine was served since it was not in its original bottle, the Pimm's jug was mostly ice and filled probably maximum 5/6 glasses. Some of us were there since 8:30 and we realised that at one point the songs played were the same, and the staff has been so rude to ask one of my friend to pay 15£ to enter even if she was in the list and arrived at 9:10 PM. While dancing one of my friends was pushed against a wall by a security guy who pointed a light to his face because he thought my friend had drugs on him and we weren't even drunk and simply dancing with each other...I am sorry to say this is not a good Customer Service and this place will quickly lose his status as one of the best places in East London. I reserved a table at Cagro on 30th September 2016 - for approximately 26 people to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, we were made to wait whilst those not on the guest list and without booking a table were being let through. I called in the morning to inform them that I had no ID with me and was told it shouldn't be a problem and that she would make a note. Once we got there, I was very rudely informed that the decision will be made at the door and not by anyone 'on the phone'. I expressed my frustration at this, and was then accused of being 'drunk'. How very dare this person accuse me of being intoxicated when I was simply expressing my frustration at the situation and possibility of MY night being ruined. Once we finally went in nobody bothered to help us locate our table and after having to ask 3 different people, we were walked around the club trying to 'find' it. Once our designated table was found, the lady 'tried' to move a group from the area they had allocated to us but 'they kicked up a fuss' so she took us to another area. Whilst i can appreciate they have to make sure a table is free, its clearly not going to work if they cant push back to people that haven't pre-booked the area. We were finally taken to another table which did not have sufficient space for the size of my party. After 2 hours of settling in, the same lady at the door came by to once again rudely inform me that we have to be moved from this table as it was not reserved for us. I tried to explain what had happened, and insisted that this is where we were placed and any mistake made would have been by cargo staff and thus not good enough for us to be moved like sheep. I do not appreciate me and my party being treated so rudely. She once again accused me of being drunk, and that I had already caused trouble that night. I find it highly insulting that she had no other argument against my logic, and due to their lack of organisation and thus could only result to accusing me of being drunk.

I went to Cargo on Saturday 24th Sept to celebrate my bday. Prior to this night out I had been doing days of research so our night out wasn't a disappointment. I put myself and over ten other names on guestlist. Was told we would have to pay £15 on the door if we get there before 12. We arrived at 11:45 and all had to pay £20 each and didn't even check our names. I complained at the door but the girl who served me said "I don't make the rules"...not helpful what so ever. I didn't want to cause a scene then because I know what clubs and bars are like with refusing to let people in. Can I please have my money back?!?! Oh Yh, the music is awful and the drinks are well over priced! Visited Cargo on 2016-09-24

Booked Cargo for my little sisters 20th birthday purely so that all the under 21s could get in. Though it was a good night I will not for sure be going back there again. We booked an area as well as the silver birthday package and we were on a guest list but that didn't seem to make a difference whatsoever, the club was packed out both inside and outside in the smokers area it just seemed like they were letting in everyone to get their monies worth for the night. Doormen + women were just too rude, one was letting in people who had big crosses when checking for their ID. Bar staff on the other hand were really friendly! Would help if we asked for some help. However, the silly £20 limit on card after 10pm is just pointless, that's clearly management milking people off of money. Entry for some was £20 and in Shoreditch that's just ridiculous. Really not worth the money at all. One good thing about the night was the music, DJ on the night played really good music which everyone enjoyed, a real shame we couldn't actually dance to it. First time out in london for ages, group of 12, we decided to go to cargo. Entry £20 for women, £30 for men. Cloakroom was £3.50. Men's toilets were flooded and stank! Queued for 25mins to get a drink, ridiculously expensive. Couldn't move inside, let alone dance, it was way too warm, outside was heaving too. Music was standard stuff. Doormen were so rude. Collectively, as a group it cost us £300 to get in, Noone enjoyed it. Never going back. Where the hell does this money go?!

Booked an 'area' for the Wales game and England v Russia game in the Euros. O was specifically told that all booths and areas had great views of the game and they were putting up extra screens all over. I exchanged about 6 emails as well as a phone call just to make sure it was the right thing to do as there were loads of options in London. Turned up, we had a tiny 'shelf' to the side of a small screen, which we wouldn't have been able to see once everyone turned up, we were expected to stand there for 5 hours, no seats, nothing. I've never experienced anything like it, and we were told we wouldn't get a refund. Eventually they generously moved us inside for the Wales game but then we'd have to move back out for the England game, eventually we just stayed inside after we'd already pre-paid £150 for a few tiny beers and a decanted bottle of Vodka which didn't even look like a litre. Just really annoying and they'd deliberately overbooked knowing they could easily handle any complaints. Last time I book Cargo for anything - really disappointed as it dampened the whole experience of the first big Saturday of the Euros.

Horrid experience. Security are rude and aggressive, The drinks are clearly watered down and the atmosphere was disappointing. As someone who frequents the Shoreditch nightlife, it's a mystery as to how this venue had remained open

Me and my girlfriend stumble across this one Sunday afternoon as we were walking by. It looked quite intriguing so we wondered in. Have to same, we were impressed it seemed chilled out, quirky, and outdoor are, sofas to chill on, spacious. Admittedly, it wasn't very busy and it was free entry at the time. we stayed for about an hour though we did say to each other we would certainly return in the summer, during the day as would be quote nice outside.

All in all a very good night. Although there is no point in paying for a table to be reserved when anybody can just sit on them as there is no one in charge of the table area. When I asked the bouncer to sort it out and ask them if he can ask them to move,he then starts trouble with us all and we all end up leaving. The security and bouncers in this club are outrageous and very rude and because of them we will never visit here again. Visited Cargo on 2016-04-30

I have mixed feelings about cargo, I booked for my birthday and the least I expected on arrivial after having booked a table, was to be at least shown to the table. Not just 'your table is over there', and also we had to get our own drinks from bar tab ourselves! Which isn't easy as its a huge bucket of drinks that we had to carry through a very busy club. Having said that, we got past the initial annoying stage and enjoyed the brilliant music being played and soon forgot about the general lack of care from staff. Visited Cargo on 2016-04-23

I had my Birthday here on Saturday night and I booked a table which was fine at first, however once it gets busy, people just use your table and it seems that Cargo staff don't really care. I paid a £50 deposit for my table and used it for maybe 2 hours. And to top it off, when my husband asked the people at the table to move, they caused trouble and my husband was told by Cargo staff to leave! The security staff don't seem to care about whats happening, they just do what is easy so if somebody is unhappy they are thrown out. Also, as it gets so rammed - they throw people out so they can let more paying customers in..... Have had some good nights here but my last visit was very disappointing. Visited Cargo on 2016-04-16

Needed a large enough club that could accommodate our large after party event so headed to Cargo. Despite being told that it was a bit trashy, we had a great time and the music was very good on a Sat night. It reminded us of clubs in Berlin (best clubs in the world).

Horrible. Arranged a table well in advance of the night i went and was told we were able to use the deposit towards a package so agreed we would sort it out on the night. Got to cargo and was told we didnt even have a table. Managed to get to Our table to be told we hadnt put a deposit down and wouldnt be able to get any sort of package. Bar manager and staff really rude and unhelpful. Had to pay extra for a table that was in the doorway of the entrance so everybody was using it anyway, paid extra for the package so the deposit put down didnt even go towards it. Wouldnt recommend getting a table because everyone ends up using it anyway the staff dont care if youve paid for anything and 100% would never go back on a birthday because youre guaranteed a disappointing night. Having visited Cargo many times before I decided to book a table with a big group of friends for my birthday on the 27/2/16. Happy to say I had an amazing night. The staff and manager were friendly, polite and extremely attentive. Many of my guests arrived at different times and I had no trouble getting them inside the venue. We did have a very small altercation with a drunk man but security were very responsive and kicked him out before anything got out of hand. Drinks are a little pricey which we expected but that didn't ruin our night. Music was good and the atmosphere was great!!!!

Our night at Cargo was quite disappointing. I booked a table for my birthday Party. In order to book I had to pay a deposit of 50 pounds, When we arrived and we asked for our table, they told us that our reservation was not on the list and they had not arranged a place for us. Despite being the first group of people who arrived to the venue, they told us to wait at a table until they sort out the problem. When the group who had booked that table arrived they told us to move to another table outside of the venue. It was the beginning of March and it was pretty cold. They expected us to spend all the night outside between 0-3 degrees with just a couple of heaters that were not powerful enough. Trying to solve this problem we had to deal with the manager of Cargo, who treated us in a very rude and impolite way. We arrived quite early to the place because we wanted to have some drinks and chat a little bit before starting the party, This was impossible because the music was very loud even with the empty venue. In addition, there was no kind of heating system and we were very cold until more people arrived and the venue started to get warmer. The drinks were very expensive even at the early evening when they are supposed to be cheaper according to what they say on their website. Apart from the bad conditions of the venue and the unhelpful staff, we found the night club full of extremely drunk people without manners and several fights during the night including a guy who had his shirt full of blood. We had a great night since what it is really important is the people you go with, more than the place. But if you want to avoid nasty surprises and focus on enjoying your evening with your friends, look for other place. London has too great a selection of bars and night clubs to waste your time going to Cargo. Visited Cargo on 2016-03-05

One of the worst nights in my life... We booked a table for 15 people in this place for a birthday. We arrived quite early, at 6:30pm, but they had forgotten to reserve a table for us. They settled us temporarily at a table and after 3 hours a manager came to us “asking” (he started to shout in a nervous way) to move us to another place because that table was “reserved” (exactly the same kind of reservation that we had made). They moved us to a table outside, where we had to spend the rest of the night at 0 degrees and just a couple of heaters for all of us. Apart from this, the quality of the service of this place is unacceptable. At the bar you can just choose between three quite expensive beers (5-6 pounds), even before the night club time started, which has nothing to do with the prices that you can see on their website. The staff in general is very rude. In addition, the security of the venue is not so good. Every hour came out someone bleeding due to fights between drunk animals. I really advise you absolutely not to book at Cargo for any kind of celebration, if you don't want them to spoil your night.
