Tap Tavern, located in the heart of Richmond upon Thames, is a newly opened, independent free house on a mission to bring the best and most exciting range of craft beers & ales to the Southwest beer scene. Think a 21st century Central Perk meets Cheers where beer and Gin replace hot coffee.
A specially built 17 tap beer wall, host their daily, rotating selection of beers sourced from local & Uk bases, independent micro-brewers. Monthly specials feature some niche breweries from around the world, with varieties not found in your typical local, to name a few: West Coast Pale Ales, Saisons, Double IPAs, Tropic Session IPA, Milk Stouts, Pilsners, and some stellar specialty casks. The impressive beer line up is supported by an extensive assortment of bottles and cans from all over the world – enough to pique the curiosity of even the most avid beer lover.
For gin aficionados, the back bar displays a wide-ranging collection of small batch British gins. A "perfect serve" menu, pairs each gin with garnishes, herbs, juniper berries, and fruits to accentuate the profile of the drink and are served in a signature Coppa "Goblet" glass. Rare whiskeys and barrel-aged cocktails round off their nifty offering.
Great Beers are matched with an equally quality food offer, specialising in bar bites, smoked & grilled items. "Beer snacks" and sharers, of Salt & Pepper Squid, Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders (mouthwateringly good) and Truffled Parmesan Fries please those after a quick drink and a snack. Burgers and other grill mains are inspired by the owners and chefs travels and there are plenty of delicious options to accommodate all dietary requirements.
The Tap has already proven a popular neighbourhood hangout for after-work drinks as well as lazy weekends ideal for catching up with friends in warm, relaxed vibe. A boozy weekend brunch takes cares of those hangover blues with a hearty offer and Steins of Bloody Marys. Thursdays and weekends are a lively affair, with plenty locals & tourists filling up the venue to produce a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere.
