Description
For anyone who has an opinion on religion - whether you love it or hate it - Communion Bar is a place to appreciate the baptism of amazingly hand crafted cocktails and great live music within a magical stain glass setting. Just a ten minute walk away from Denmark Hill station the bar is hidden away in the basement below the modern Spanish tapas bar Angels and Gypsies.
If you're a cocktail lover then you've come to the right place, Communion Bar has invented some peculiar but tasty drinks that are guaranteed to set your tastebuds tingling, like the Dry Cherry Illegal (mezcal, grilled sicilian lemon juice, cherry marnier, bitters and amarena cherry sugar rum) and the Purpura (fresh dragon fruit, mint, midori, rose petal, vodka and citrus) - sounds good right? If you begin to feel peckish you can order some of the delightful tapas from upstairs to be bought down to you.
Look out for the diverse live performances the venue holds and be sure to take a moment to admire the stain glass designs, they're incredible!
