Sol’s is a chic and intimate wine bar nestled in Bayswater, just a short stroll from Hyde Park. Designed by Wendover Partners - the creative minds behind Margate’s Fort Road Hotel - Sol’s blends Iberian charm with London sophistication. The interior is bright and airy, featuring natural wood finishes, travertine flooring, and a striking central table that anchors the space. Large sash windows open onto the street, offering counter seating ideal for warm evenings. With room for fewer than 30 guests, Sol’s evokes the cosy ambiance of a Mediterranean tapas bar, making it perfect for relaxed evenings or romantic dates.

By day, it’s a deli and café offering sandwiches and salads made with St John’s focaccia; by night, it transforms into a refined wine bar serving Mediterranean-inspired small plates. Chef Harry Farrow, drawing on his culinary experiences in Marseilles, Nîmes, and the Norfolk coast, crafts a daily-changing menu that fuses British and Italian influences. Expect dishes like deep-fried panisses with aioli, burrata with white peaches, and green bean salad with lentils and almonds. The wine list, curated by food writer Mina Holland, showcases low-intervention bottles from across Europe, adding depth and character to the dining experience. The selection is designed to complement the Mediterranean-inspired menu, with options like a chilled organic red that’s juicy and refreshing, a crisp Cinsault rosé, and even rosé on tap for a playful twist.
