Description
Tucked beneath HIDE on Piccadilly, The Bar Below is a moody, intimate den of warm woods and gleaming metal - featuring a copper-and-acacia counter and a curved, back‑lit bottle display. Reclaimed whisky‑cask staves subtly partition three private rooms (The Broken Room, The Shadow Room and The Reading Room) from the main bar area, with seating deliberately limited for an intimate feel where the details shine, including soft, amber lighting and a glass‑fronted cellar visible from the room.
Its unique calling card is extraordinary access to Hedonism Wines’ treasure trove: think bespoke whisky flights, 6,000+ wine bottles with dozens offered by the glass, and rare spirits that let you “upgrade” classics to your taste. The cocktail menu leans flavour‑first and seasonal - new creations rotate every few weeks - backed by serious technique (clarifications, infusions, centrifuge, sous‑vide) and a make‑almost‑everything‑in‑house ethos. The bar program is led by long‑time Dabbous collaborator and HIDE’s Group Executive Bar Manager, Oskar Kinberg, and the space earned a 1 PIN recognition from The Pinnacle Guide (while the restaurant upstairs holds a Michelin star).
